Short and sweet 2600 performance! I do find that when I have my ducks in a row, did my walk, dishes are done, no stress from work ect, I make less obvious blunders.
In other words, when you are fully connected to you inner Bob Ross...
GG
he missed knight c2 when you had 1 min on the clock. Whaaaa
@@Thebatsign yeah, a very instructive blunder actually, because we all have such tendencies due to fear based protection first mindsets.
great talk man, keep going!!! Hyper agressive king
I like how you post even your modest games and losses. The biggest thing Ive taken away from your videos is your attitude towards the game. I started taking Chess seriously about 2 years ago, and I think one of my biggest problems was taking the game too seriously, and each move too seriously. Trying to improve my Chess knowledge from a player such as Naroditsky, while useful in a way.... I have found much more realistic and translatable ideas in your videos. Really appreciate all of your content.
@@bobrossofwar4096 thank you man!! Really appreciate your comment, because that's exactly what I'm trying to do, help others with easy to understand, intuitively legit ideas. Definitely don't take it too seriously. Treat the game a bit like Bob Ross treats the canvas, as a fun little dance of creative ideas. And be comfortable with losing, because it is inevitable no matter how good you become.
You played a clean game! But what do you think about b4 at 4:10 instead of Re1?
b4 is quite playable but wouldn't be my preferred choice even if I had plenty of time. Two problems after axb4 Qxb4 Rxa2 Qxb7 Rxe2... 1. Opens up blacks rook which is currently out of the game and 2. Losing the bishop pair which is a long term strategic asset. The queen on b7 looks invasive, but there is not that much scope for destruction as it might appear. The idea with Re1, which I agree looks like quite a non move, is to be able to play Bd1 should opponent play Ba6. Thereby preserving bishop pair without losing rook. Thank you for the comment!
Omg i didn't see bishop on b7 defends the rook lol. Thanks for the explanation though
@@pedramtajeddini5100 lol yeah, if not for the bishop there, b4 very playable and should guarantee an eventual passed pawn
very funny commentary dissing the entitled players who think being 2200 online makes them superior. very good videos, keep them up bro

Opponent should have taken the knight on c6 with knight, doubling pawns upon recapture. The remaining knight can blockade the two pawns.
Highly instructive!
You could have taken the knight on d3 with rook.
you the man gert!
@@ashwinkumar26 Not really though, I mean my rating is (considerably) lower than yours, but I might be better at tactics than you. That is probably because my mind is not churning so much on the strategy machine like you, which just goes to show how important strategy is. Even if you miss to give tactical blows you still proceed to win. Plus you are multi-tasking by providing commentary/teaching to the audience. Hats off!

I think you could have made pawn on d5 a passer by first harrasing the rook on d8 with Bb6, instead of taking on e6.
Yes that's right!

When Hans won those five games in a row Carlsen was playing silly stuff to diss him because he was so far ahead he couldn't lose at that point. If Hans had the ability to cheat in the SCC then he would have been able to win the whole match. What is the point of risking getting caught cheating if you're not even going to win the match? The security at the SCC final was apparently the most stringent ever so I don't see anyone being able to cheat there.
Narratives about Carlsen not caring anymore are all nonsense. Carlsen cares! He ain't the GOAT for nothing. He ain't going down 5-0 to a snotty little despot. He doesn't go 5-0 down to anyone, period. Even in todays final against Firoujza, he didn't even lose 2 games in a row at any point in the match. He beat Firouzja 22-7 but against Niemann he only managed 17-12? Nah. The red flags are too many to ignore when it comes to Niemann. In fact, he played more weird openings against Firoujza once the outcome was sealed e.g. Fried Liver than he did against Niemann. So he totally cared. He in fact did diss Niemann physically after winning 3-4 bullet games in a row with a kind of "c'mon let me destroy you" hand gesture, and it was interestingly immediately after that that Niemann won 5 in a row, and that too, while consuming only 20-30 seconds in each game. The steady rating increase (as opposed to winning every single game) is part of a calculated strategy to bypass the cheating detection system that looks for statistical significance in outcomes over a period of many games. By winning and losing , but gradually increasing, he can attempt to credit his rise to "hard work" or "good time management" as he did in his interview. But any chess player knows how hard it is to gain even a 100 points at the 2000 levels, let alone the 2600 levels where it would be exponentially harder. One can only speculate on mechanisms, but yes, it is the age of technology. And yes, microchips in brains do exist e.g. Neuralink
I think he cheats in other formats, even Titled Tuesday, but I don’t think he cheated for the SCC. He defended in clever ways that were ultimately blunders, but the commentators could explain the logic behind it (though the eval bar disagrees)
He couldn't cheat in the SCC because it had the heaviest anti-cheating measures of any tournament ever apparently
how could you possibly accuse Hans of cheating in the bullet games? You can see his screen and you can see exactly what he sees. He is not at all in control of his environment, there would be no way he would run something on the computer to show the best moves. He is not cheating. For you to claim he is or might be is sickening to see. He is top 20 in the world in Classical Chess, don't forget that.
It's hilarious to me that Niemann was semi-blacklisted not for cheating, but for... trashing a hotel room.
I checked the last game in which Niemann defeated Carlsen, and the former World Champion was playing so carelessly. Actually, that was the overall tone of the comments. After the victory was sealed Carlsen didn't care anymore. I agree that his rise is somewhat strange, but the fact that he plays best when in time scrambles is not very good indication of cheating, perhaps it points in the other direction. Also, I don't think he could have that at the SCC, unless he has a microchip in his brain. Anyway, I think the strangest part about Niemann is not that much his age, but the fact he gained over 200 points at the highest level of chess without a coach.

@@ashwinkumar26 he means he stopped caring in that particular match after he was so many points ahead that he couldn't lose
@@chesneytube1 that is just a narrative, it is not the truth. Carlsen said he didn't care (about technical issues that Niemann was complaining about towards the end of the match), but he totally did care about winning every single game. Because that's what Champions do.
It's sad that your opinion is so logically and rationally wrong with Hans cheating in the SCC . You are jealous of another person's success or just a biased Magnus fanboy , either way your opinion is wrong . Think a little more about the whole situation, a little bit more critically , learn about the 2 sides more and don't be just influenced by some trends (a hating trend in this matter) it's just a lesson on how to think more clearly . The world would be such a better place with people thinking smarter without influence and concluding by themselves with all the information .
@@Damnedandinpain He doesn't want to think critically. He has made his mind and his mind mirrors the objective world perfectly (or so he seems to believe) . I see no point in arguing. The arrogance is way too much here.
