The RS models don’t have issues with the timing chain. The s models with the V8 do have issues with the chains . The reason is the timing chain guides, on the RS modes are made of metal while on the other are plastic and they break al the time. Regarding the tune it did work on mine that had the EPC light coming on once in a while. After the tune it hasn’t come on not once.

I am so happy i driving S5 V8 and no engine problem,so less RPM and power but works fine and still V8 !

Great video and information, but you seemed to have disappeared and none of the comments are getting your replies. What is the full description of those solenoids, and part numbers. Are they supplied individually or does each bank and side have a specific one?

I am about to buy a used RS5. But I got a pre production inspection and they said the car needs front and rear brakes. I called a local mechanic and Audi, they quoted me 6800 and 8700. Now I’m really not sure if I want to go forward with this car. I told the dealer about the brakes and he said he will see what his shop can do and get back to me, but I’m really nervous now about the maintenance costs that will pop up. I’m getting close to backing out

Thanks for the videos, but if you want to have more followers brother, you can explain how to reset the fis counter to zero for the next oil change and comment on the oil filter, put the new rubber gasket and grease the edges, too. Put the oil screw and the new gasket, they are small details but they make a difference. I have S5 so 350hp and almost the same engine 4,2l V8 with dsg gearbox so 5s but this has more agresive sound exsaust,and faster and more HP impresive,and this facelift looks very nice i want on s5 to make this looks.

The thing about DIY maintenance is that if you don't know what you're doing, and be brutally honest with yourself, you might end up in a youtube car mechanics compilation...
