FURTHER ON THE ROAD 16mm montage (shot on BOLEX)
Просмотров 1,4 тыс.11 месяцев назад
- 2023 reupload in better quality - This is a small montage of 16mm shots we filmed on the road while filming for Phil Zwijsen part for Thrasher magazine. We spent a lot of time working on these shots in between tricks missions. It definitely gave us some oasis of calm as the stress on some tricks was pretty high. Let’s say that we had to do a few loops while driving to be able to shot some of ...

"Jarne narrowly escapes death more than once in this 12 minute epic. A potted plant to the head and a neglectful TM can’t stop the Belgian luminary as he charges through with some his finest footage to date. There's a sublime beauty flowing through those crusty European streets."

Maité 16mm montage

Quick edit I did a few months ago to show Maité how the 16mm roll we shot looked. I have to admit that I’ve learned to like Billie Eilish by spending such time with Maité and I’m still a bit ashamed of it (just a bit) Oh and one important thing that was missing in the part aside from Billie is that Maité has dope back smiths too, which is one hallmark of the very best

Phenomenal Work ! “Where did you purchase Kodak Super 16? I can’t find it anywhere.”
Real question ? I'm confused
@@GPerimony i searched on google super 16 kodak i cant find it anywhere it shows up only normal 16mm not super 16
this is so beautiful...which lenses are your favourites?
wow wish bolex ?
Rex 3 modified for super16
What lens?
Que pinche bonito video😍😍😍
C'est beau ça! quel objectif utilier ?
Zeiss Contact mix
amazing
Excellent work. I know you can get great shots out of a Bolex and this video shows that. We need more of these examples. Think of it. A 50+ year old, mechanical camera that can capture HD quality images that make you feel something. Yet today, there are hundreds of YT videos of digital cameras that are constantly trying to outdo each other with the latest and greatest tech. They are still chasing the elements established by these old film cameras. Would anyone of you consider buying a 10 year old digital movie camera when they just released a modern version of it. They are constantly in a state of becoming obsolete. Yet, if you take one of these old Bolex cameras and get it CLA'd, you have something to work with - as long as they keep making and processing film. IMO, the only advantages digital has is ease of use, expense, and image sharpness - not artistic value.
i mean its just not realistic to buy this camera. it's way too expensive to shoot with. Film emulation (if done right) can get close to this. Although the dynamic range of this camera is still better than most digital cameras
after experimenting on Super 8 I have the very evening purchased a Bolex off eBay....cant wait to use it :)
kieslowski?
как же я не ожидал русскую песню) очень красиво ) !!!
beautifully curated
Ray Conniff and his only album to be recorded in the Soviet Union.
very clean
Where do you find these wonderful tunes?
hey!!
Nice work!
🔥👌
Wow!
Awesome! Great editing, it flows so well. Which lenses did you use? :)
Mostly a mix of switars and som berthiots :)
@@GPerimonythank you so much. Heard great things about the Switars. First have to get my hands on a nice Bolex :)
nice colour grading and editing ...unless this is raw scan footage
Ahah I wish ! (better scans help though)
Spectacular footage and the music choice is original and spot on! How did you manage to hold that Bolex body so steady during the follow shots? Can't imaging doing that angle with skateboarder @ 2:01 AND looking through the viewfinder from that position :D
Skateboard filming is the answer :)
gorgeous
nicely done
Magnifique Guillaume ! Tellement beau ce 16mm
Neat
Heyy ! What kind of wide lenses did you use and which mount ? I guess you got a fisheye and a wide lense. Also, I’m interested if you sell some stuff. Let me know and and congrats for the showreel, really sick !
Most of the wide angle shots are from the SOM BERTHIOT 10mm. Very soft and doesn't cover the super16, but brings some magics on time to time :) No fisheye was used though. Hit me up on the gram if you need to buy some stuff. I may help
trascinante, incantevole
Magnifique
This is so masterfully filmed
Wonderful! Too few 16mm reels show the medium to its capacity. This one shows what it's GOOD at!
Thats purely art!
I read: Shot on rolex
😅 both are swiss precision !
Hi, amazing footage. Is the slow motion on 64fps? This is a 4k scan or Telecine? Did you stabilize somehow the footage? Would love to hear some more about this. Peace!
Really nice!
Love it ✨
👍🏽👌🏾💪🏽epic clip
Well, thanks. Now you convinced me to switch from Super8 to 16mm. Goodbye, money. 😀

magnifique
Great job on the focusing. I’m just amazed you pull it off. Because for me, bolex was worst camera in the world for focusing
