Yepp! I got myself a Miata. Some backstory: I started really getting into cars right at the beginning of Covid and got my first manual car that was an ND Miata. It was the first car I did mods to and truly enjoyed everything about it. Fast forward to today, I have thoroughly missed the happiness that the Miata brought me. The pureness of heart with no feelings of fear while driving it hard in the canyons is like no other. So I decided to jump back in one and this time an NA! Before you flock your dash I saw a video where someone filled the cracks and sanded the whole thing smooth and used bed liner to repaint his dash and still have texture. I’d look into it!

It hurt my heart seeing those tail light face down on the floor i know you put them down gently but still why not put them on the side part 😢😂 so cringing seeing that like no they going to get scratched up. I hate that people be taxing on honda/acura parts if its not discontinued rare to find its over priced
They’ll be alright lol. I agree the market for cars these days in general kinda sucks but it is what it is. Gotta just work with what we have

Nahh I love the UKDM tails. Couldn’t do it and got lucky enough they came with the car when I bought it

@@Nightshiftmotorsports please make sure you lock that car up if it's sleeping outside really easy to steal alot of broke boys out here they will take someone car over anything you know the prices of parts going up every day like those tails & front end. Killswitch wheel lock steering wheel lock the more you do the better it's a headache to keep doing but it's worth it

@@Nightshiftmotorsports yeah I just saw that I commented before I finish watching the video since I'm working driving a taxi so I keep pausing & playing the video.
The door hinge bracket shouldn't be welded on anyway, unless some previous owner did it. I didn't catch a license plate so can't tell where you're located, but if the car has seen lots of winters, hopefully you don't find the kind of rust I did when you pull that front fender. Behind the top hinge bracket was in bad shape on both sides when I pulled mine, but it wasn't noticeable when the fenders were on.
Just started watching the video where you picked the car up so sounds like it may have been an Ohio car for at least part of it's life if not all of it so possibly saw some winters and road salt... Definitely check behind the top hinges when you have the fender off. Three thin layers of metal come together behind that hinge, and moisture seems to somehow get trapped between the layers and rot that area from the inside out. Mine was only showing minor signs of rusting where a cover plate was welded right behind the hinge. Once I started poking around and cutting, it was clear that there was a lot of rust hidden behind that area. Another possibly hidden rust area is on the frame rails just under and behind the firewall. I had no idea mine were rusting until I stripped all the undercoating off. It was another spot that appears to rust from the inside out. Sounds like your car was pretty clean though, so hopefully yours are good. Be careful with all that KA power... don't let it get away from you...
Thanks for the heads up! Definitely hope I don’t find any hidden rust. What was told to me by previous owner was it didn’t stay in Ohio long at all and the Carfax matches. It was originally a California car so I believe it has a good chance of not having rust and now being in Alabama, should stay that way.
@@Nightshiftmotorsports Seems reasonable given the damage to the clear coat in a lot of places. You don't see that kind of paint damage in the more Northerly states that often, since we're not allowed to see the sun much (I'm in the Chicago-area, but would love to move further south)... I dunno about you, but I'd rather clean up a tired paint job than clean up a bunch of rust any day of the week!
@@Papajin68 oh absolutely! These days paint doesn’t bother me at all. I’ll prep it and paint it myself. Just don’t wanna deal with any rust.

It’s actually a treble clef. Grew up playing music and figured a tribal treble clef would be pretty cool on my arm

Fuck it I would trade any z33 for an s13 or 14 even if it had rust, rust never bothered me , wire wheel it slap a plate on and be dunnn with it , also recommended to me for some reasons maybe cause cause s13 ownership I dunno 😂 I would love to street a rusty as fuck one again with a solid drivetrain , subbbbed
