Always AAC block adhesive should be applied using notched trowel for good bonding. Not with brick trowel.
House build ke liye kya best hai aac, red brick ya fly ash
If you have load bearing structure then use red brick, if you have partition wall then you use aac block or flyash.

That's call lintel reinforcement after doing blockwork of 1.2m hight it should be provide of thickness .1m it preserve your crack also.
