I was born in 1984 and used to watch FatCat. I think it was cancelled when I was about 4 or 5... Humphrey B Bear kept going fir years after that. I used to watch Gumby back then too. And then in 1990 they started airing TMNT after school. It was around then I stopped watching shows like Humphrey

we had the same show here in germany at movie park back in the day. funny enough, the set buildings were mirrored. because in australia, everything is upside down and the other way around you know (apparently thats what the architect thought to himself) the german version of the set actually lasted until 2 months ago, but got torned down after halloween. they are building a new one tho.

I can confirm that this Fat Cat episode was from 1988. This episode screened sometime between June to December 1988. The reason why I know this is because Fat Cat & Friends switched from Channel 10 to Channel 7 in June 1988 replacing Romper Room on Channel 7. Fat Cat & Friends from 1972-1987 was produced & filmed by SAS-10 in Adelaide. Then in the first few months in 1988 I think the production & filming was done at ADS-10 after SAS-10 & ADS-7 in Adelaide changed their TV stations & became SAS-7 & ADS-10 after Christmas 1987. Channel 7's owner at the time Christopher Skase didn't want Romper Room on the 9.00AM timeslot because he believed the show was too long & was preventing ad content. Skase knew that Fat Cat & Friends was produced by the SAS group & knowing that it was now under the control of Channel 7, he decided to bring Fat Cat & Friends to Channel 7 & cancel Romper Room. Plus the end credits showed the old Channel 7 logo, which it got changed to a newer more futuristic Channel 7 logo in January 1989.
