I saw this type of engine driving irrigation pumps in Iraq, 2007.

Safety wasn't much a consideration. The trade off for increased productivity were machines that were exceedingly dangerous. Just one moment of forgetfulness, distraction, slip, and these machine were unforgiving with the power to extinguish life quickly and in the most gruesome manner. Literally hundreds of people have died operating these machines while just trying to scratch out a living.

The one looks like a steam powered air compressor. Did you go inside? It’s an interesting place. It’s been a long time since I’ve visited, time to go again.

Those antique machines are awesome. Been trying buy one from a guy that has it after a fire. Parts are so hard to find or even make.

I was 14 we had a choice of projects in metal shop. 3 different styled steam engines. I went with the radial 3 cyl. Was a fun project I let the parts get lost over the last 40 years. Where was this show.

Brilliant truck mate,I have a Scania here, we are a load two either side and a meter over rear without escorts don't know what vosa would have to say 😂. On a sad note I can't drive trucks any more due to ill health, that's my favourite Willie Nelson song.
