i think you forget something about the bill aswell: first his ego, he do know alot of possibilities BUT he dont know which one will happen, and his ego althought not like discord, discord would not dare joke with bill, UNLESS he want to make bill mad, like he did in a bill vs discord place. also the reason i said bill know all but not how its HOW he exactly died, also there is alot of information that if you craft well discord can win without need to force himself hard, actually, without even trying, he can erase bill thought the same way he was gone? yes if done correctly, but he can win with alot of ways, and also this is more of "more power = win" when discord literally dont need it because he have it all and even more, while bill is more limited even tho he is almost like discord, for me, i can say confidently IF discord fight him in a fight to the death, he would win for sure, but that can't have something related to both his friends or scenario, by it i mean it can be alot of things, which its not impossible but almost it to say, also, discord know canonically bill so i DOUBT he would let his ego win him, UNLESS like i say it have to do with his friends or something like this, but he dont really cared to win in that situation (i mean the death battle one) he cared about saving they and having fun, not winning, but even with that he dont let his ego win.
