B&W Pi6 Earbuds Clip

While the price of the Pi6 is more affordable in Bowers & Wilkins-land, these earbuds are relatively expensive when compared to other entry-level models from premium brands we’ve tested recently - and they don’t offer the same level of smarts, so they’re best suited to anyone that prefers clear-sounding earbuds that are simple to use and don’t require top-drawer effective noise cancelling.

Sonos Arc Ultra Clip

You can give proper consideration to the Sonos Arc Ultra even if you’re a Sonos newbie - it’s accomplished enough that as a single speaker it makes an awful lot of sense and represents good value for money. As part of a wider multi-room system or as the heart of a multi-channel cinema sound set-up along with other Sonos speakers it’s getting on for ideal. Of course, if you’re still traumatised ...

ProJect Debut Evo 2 turntable review

The Pro-ject Debut Evo 2 Turntable, is for serious vinyl lovers at an extraordinarily low price, providing extremely good value for money. In fact, we think this is one of the very best turntables that you can buy for under £1000
Best turntable under £1000? We reckon so, but what is it?

Sound Advice PMC Prodigy5 speaker review
How does this product compare to the Sennheiser Ambeo Max and/or the Devialet Dione as a stand alone soundbar?
Top edifier powered bookshelves do it better
Want to enter the world of Sonos and are debating what to go for budget-wise: beam 2 + sub mini + era100 or just arc ultra? In terms of price, the whole set comes out like Arc Ultra alone...
Very nice review, i think i put my old T1 for a upgrade.
I think it's overpriced when compared to the 1210gr, it should have come with the magnesium arm on the other G.
Like your content 👍🏻
will the ARC ULTRA sound even better with a SUB MINI and the ERA 100's ? would i even notice the difference ? i already ordered and received the sub Mini and ERA 100's my room is approx. 12 x 12 feet with 7.5 foot ceiling i got the BEAM 2 but changed my mind and wanna upgrade to the ARC ULTRA .... BEAM 2 is still in the box please let me know what you think thx also i intend to add the ERA 300's down the road possibly hoping the 100's will do in my room for now cheers from Canada another question should i not even open the Sub Mini box and just send it back and order the GEN 4 Sub ? i am not a bass head so as long as the mini adds some i would be fine i think not sure what to do
In terms of spatial effects, how does it compare against the Sony theater bar 9?
Im loving the arc ultra and now with bluetooth that extra 100 difference its definitely too me there
Nice talk about this new device....we dont really need to see it plugged in & hear an internet/utube muffled sound..ill hang onto my "old" arc.....& keep my money in my account 😅 (i cant detect any upfiring sound anyway)😢
You need to let the ultra settle in for a few days. I found it harsh at first but now it sounds wonderful
QUESTION : should a person upgrade the HDMI cable or is the one included good enough ? Is there an ultimate HDMI cable that will make things even better ? I am obviously not a techy....lol thx for your review cheers from Canada
If you want to involve yourself in a endless, circular and heated debate, you've gone the right way about it :) I am personally of the opinion that inferior digital cables can hamstring the performance of the equipment they're connecting, and it's important that your HDMI cable (in this instance) is fit for purpose. Sonos seems to have done the right thing as far as the cable the Arc Ultra is provided with - I tried connecting it to my TV with a couple of alternatives and the bundled cable seems perfectly fine. Differing opinions are available, of course, and you don't need to spend too long using your favourite search engine to find out that the discussion regarding cables rages fiercely. Ultimately you are the best judge of the way your system is performing - so if you're able to try an alternative cable, you can make a decision without being lectured by both sides. (That's it for me and cables on this thread, btw. I've been doing this job for over 20 years and if I live to be 100 I don't need to have this argument again.)
@@simonlucas5213 thx for your response cheers
Great vid, thanks. How would you say this compares to the Debut Pro? Is the Pro worth considering over the Evo 2?
Same shit. Bose is better by a mile
Not sure if it's just me but run trueplay several times with the ultra, sub mini and 2x era 300's and although atmos movies sound unbelievable spatial audio through my appletv 4k sound quite awful vocals practically vanish with or without voice enhancement, anyone else experienced this?
Does physical media sound any good ? I am amazed Sonos does not support all audio codecs within this price range. I still use (4k) blu rays and have no idea how they sound on a soundbar like this one. I have heard stories about surround speakers not working etc.
The lack of passthrugh means your disc player will have to be connected to the TV, which can then strip the audio out to the Arc Ultra - it worked perfectly well for me during testing, though I listened purely to the soundbar without surrounds or a subwoofer.
@simonlucas5213 i will probably use a PS5 as a player. Could be a dealbreaker for some people who really want all the codecs. Don't think Sonos will ever support all the codecs just because they think pshycial media is a thing of the past.
@@remco3819 Sonos is a company of very strongly held opinions :)
@@remco3819 Sonos is definitely a company of strongly held opinions :)
Why is the image flipped around. It’s killing me that the word Sonos and everything is backwards.
A good point and one I will have to investigate with the video editors. I mean, how am I meant to know which one is my best side? 😬
sonos is a company. buy know or be warned
you can get around the pass through & DTS X with this , EZCOO 4K 120Hz eARC HDMI 2.1 Switch Switch 4x1 eARC Audio Extractor VRR ALLM HDCP2.3 ARC HDR10 CEC SPDIF Optical and 3.5 mm Audio Out, its a really good solution i found.
I’m finding the Ultra to be a little harsher in the midrange than the Arc and much more sibilant. The “S” sounds are really cutting my ears.
That's interesting. Has it been playing for a particularly long time? I certainly don't find the Arc Ultra shy through the midrange - but it doesn't seem to hit the fricatives any harder than my Arc does...
Go -1 on tremble in eq is the best way mitigate this. It’s the highs that are harsh and the middle feels thin.
Good morning and thank you for the review. I currently have Sonos Arc + Era 300 surrounds and dual Sub (Gen 3 + Gen 2). Is it worth upgrading to Ultra at the cost of giving up one sub? Is the change incremental or material? Is the front part of the Atmos bubble improved? Thank you
The difference over the Arc soundbar you're currently using is obvious where low-frequency presence and the solidity of the soundstage is concerned, and the Arc Ultra is an altogether more spacious listen. If you were starting from scratch then I would have no hesitation in recommending it - but given that you already have a very capable set-up already, I suppose it depends on what sort of money you might be able to get for your Arc on the second-hand market. Whether or not you'll hear £999-worth of improvements by swapping an Arc for an Arc Ultra is debatable - but if you can claw some of your outgoings back then it becomes quite an enticing prospect :)
no DTS:X? wtf? we need a GameChanger boys
looks like a half done 1200
It looks much nicer in person . I own one 👍
Looks like a Technics TT They all look similar
how does this compare with the 1500?
Hi dude, I’ve got the 1200GR, purchased when it was released and love the thing. It’s lovely to look at and use with my dad’s old vinyl collection. I would love to see a video on changing the cartridge. On old record players you used to be able to press play and the device would do the rest, and when the record finished the arm would lift of the record and return back to base, this doesn’t happen on the 1200GR?
Certainly very expensive - as Technics gear usually is - but it looks nice. Wonder if it sounds like a KEF.
Slightly less animated than the KEF LS50 Wireless II, I'd say, and a touch more analytical. 'Different' rather than 'better' or 'worse' - if you're in the market then you really need to hear both :)
Nonsense. 3000 bucks is the norm. Which amp and speakers at this range will you buy for this quality? This is LS50 WII and Dynaudio Focus 10 range.
I have had 2 class D panel amps built into speakers stop working without me over driving them.
Which brands? I've had my Dynaudio for 12 years.
I was interested in this as a bedroom setup until the point when you said 2399£ 😂
this isnt a bedroom set up
@paulburton9904 How can you stop me to put it in my bedroom 😂
@@lapcevics ill ring the police
That's pretty normal for these caliber of speakers. Tried Sonos Play5 and a couple of Play1s?
Better than an planar 3 ? I have the feeling this pro ject is more going against the planar 2?
Great, well made review!
thank you we think its pretty good as well, Ed's a video star!
good imformative review. very much like project cheers
Adding a cork matt or acrylic platter requires the tone arm to be shimmed at the VTA is way off. Not a nice experience at all.
Changing the felt mat to the cork one or going from the steel platter to the acrylic one has no effect on the VTA so long as you use the official Pro-Ject parts. The company has put a fair bit of thought into this.
Too cheap
I can comment on an ad tf
glorious but sounds no better than onkyo or denon or yamaha etc, audiophools have psycholoigal issues is why they spend so much
An interesting amateur diagnosis but I can't agree
Says the man who has never heard the product and can’t spell psychological.
Quite an echo-y sound on your voice? Presumably it is just the mic placement and not representative of your room? Thanks for the preview!
@@1922peter The room at Ripcaster (where I heard the amplifiers) is really nicely balanced. But I had an 'incident' with my mic while I was there and ended up having to record audio using my smartphone's mic - which, I think we can agree, is not ideal😬

I tried these on my channel 13th note that does proper independent reviews and I found the bass Wolly against some similarly priced Totem speakers. I totally disagree that the speakers are at the level of the 25-23i which I have reviewed too and are similar to 25-23 which I have owned for years and which I used as a reference as well as the Totem’s
Thank you for your comments Simon, it's always good to get an alternative view. However, we're sticking to our guns on this one, we thought at the time of the review, and still do, that the prodigy5, and prodigy1 for that matter, are awesome in performance and value for money
Thank You.
An important note...our Denon AVR X3100W only displays functional information to the television screen. This is super annoying. When you only want to listen to music you also need to have the television on.
I wonder whether the Amphion Argon 1, these, or the Dali Menuet SE would be the best choice for extremely low volume, small ensemble piano jazz such as Cedar Walton Trio and Beegie Adair. Also, it's one thing for a speaker in this price point to be "forgiving," but I wonder if they'll pair with my existing SMSL AO300, which works a treat on the cheap stuff but I'd be loath to replace it so soon.
Nice to watch these videos. Steve which tv at the end of 2023 do you like the best?
A very good and interesting intro, I've been a Kef man for a number of years…
I bought this today for £2,399 to replace the x7200WA....The A1 is a little out of my price range at £5999 for 2 more channels and DIRAC.
Great buy, the prices are crazy at the moment, hope you enjoy it

I’d have guessed the Roksan because I think Linn trade too much on the legacy of the brand name.

I had the original Xerxes in 88. Its a more forward sound than the lp12 which is why I would choose the linn. The Xerxes has more attack, especially in the high frequency. However for long term and an more laid back listen the linns mid range is my preference.
Nice Review, I still use my circa 1984 NAD 7140 Receiver & Linn KAN Mk.1 Speakers in my Vinyl Listening Kit😉👍
Very nice, thank you
Eight months on from Rob-hm8pz and I purchased one in silver from Richer Sounds for £2249 including their extended warranty foc.
Die Oberfläche der Fernbedienung, ist dermaßen schlecht. Nicht mal 5 Tage, und man hat auf der Oberfläche der Fernbedienung Abrieb spuren. 😖😏
When the 6700 was realised it was at the price of the 4800 and it was denons top of the range amp now you got to pay a lot more for the high end
With so many streamers in the market, how does one choose one? What do streamers like the Cambridge Audio MXN/AXN/CXN, NAD CS1, Yamaha WXC 50, Arcam ST60, etc have that the much cheaper Arylic S50 Pro+ or WiiM Pro Plus don’t? All the streamers have a basic DAC (Wolfson or AKM or ESS). All the streamers have SPDIF output to add a more expensive DAC. What makes the MXN/AXN different? The WiiM or Arylic can be had for half the price!!
Much expensive.
