5 episodes on DTS for McLaren will make our sponsors happy, woop, woop. Watching Lando slow down 6 seconds on the straight was a bit icky to be honest... I just think he has earned the right to be prioritised for helping to build this team since 2017 and now second in the WDC, not sure what else he has to do to have full support of the team.
This hasn't aged well.
Max moves under braking. That is fact. The penalty was a non penalty. But the infraction he was penalized for was slight and not as egregious as previous laps. And it's overlooked how much he pushed Lando on to the grass. Lando will improve. But I was gutted by the result.
1). He did not move under braking - even the stewards confirmed this. 2). 10 seconds was the maximum penalty he could have received. 3). You don't see any of the people criticizing Max - criticizing Lando for shoving Max onto the grass the race before. This is over-blown and ridiculous at this stage.
@@TheBismarck-th6sf tommy on P1 thinks he moved a little under braking. I tend to agree. I think the result of the penalty was not really worth anything.

@rileyrolstone I like Tommy. He's relatively even keel and I appreciate his observations. I think Max was subtle and smart with his defense. It was aggressive and he did get penalized. I do genuinely believe Norris must drive better.
@@RadoF1 I just think that if it’s so hard to tell, the telemetry doesn’t match braking after movement, and you have additional drivers both retired and active that described it as likely/potentially (depending on the person) a fairly standard opening of the corner then maybe it’s just too close to call at the least. I dont think Tommy was unfairly or overly critical of Max. I actually really like their podcast though I disagree with them here. I think I draw issue broadly (not specifically at you tho just to be clear) of the prioritization of people in the media over people with expertise and access to data/telemetry.

It definitely did feel like a much better start to the season… last year was a worry but this year was so different, to have both cars in Q3 was fantastic.

I echo the frustrations about the merch store. I brought 4 items during the 60% sale. The first two items arrived relatively quickly. The last two items too about 3 weeks longer and the tracking didn't work at all. Absolutely bizarre and not good enough. I've ordered some items yesterday. I hope I get them before Christmas 😮

Fantastic Pod gents! It's been a remarkable turnaround for the Team this year! Haven't seen anything like it since the MP4/24 in 2009! We're getting to where McLaren need to be & it's been exciting to watch them fight for podiums & top Q3 positions. Very much looking forward to Japan! Singapore was what GP racing should be like: The winner wasn't known until the checker flag flew! Strategies, tactics & pure racing! It's why we love F1! I can't believe the prices of an F1 race! I've unfortunately never been to one, I procrastinated too much when I did have get opportunities, but they seem to be price gouging & pricing some fans out. Just like the rest of this world, inflation keeps dividing people in a seriously unsustainable way. I go to the IndyCar race in Detroit since I live so close. Friday is free, put on by a local sponsor. My Sunday (race day) ticket cost $80USD. I had access to the paddock, my grandstand & about 90% of the rest of the circuit. Drivers & Team personnel are engaging & friendly. One of the best experiences you can have for premiere open wheel racing! I also just received my Indy500 ticket for 2024! The ticket, sat on the main straight across from the Pagota, covered with a roof was $140USD. I can't touch an F1 ticket in Montreal for less than $300!!!

Yep engagement was great and the accessibility - going to the FE with a 5 year old could have been a challenge but it really wasn't.
The ability to be able to attend an event and support our team was fantastic and to be honest I was ok watching the F1 on catch up .. we were going to watch on the iPad however we were spending quality time with one and other and just enjoying the experience of being with one and other and the EPrix .. it’s definitely doable
Got to agree the fan engagement was outstanding 😎😎 I must also say from a diversity & inclusion perspective it was so good to feel included and arrangements made to allow us access all areas. It was so so good to feel able to take part in all activities..

Love the podcast. I wanted to buy a to buy a sirt replica and you know how much it costs when I make the conversion into my curency? 10% of my salary,sorry but that's to much for my budget. Maybe there should be prices for different countryes because I doubt that I'm only one in this position.
