Mid July Push Sesh
Просмотров 4Месяц назад
Join me as I work towards achieving the free-standing Hand Stand Push Up. I am running 10k per day before each session and even on de-load days I am running 10k. The running is aimed at reducing bodyweight and improving conditioning so that more calisthenics goals like the HSPU, front lever and back lever can be achieved.

DJI Mini 3 (and 4) Pro drone hand landing and launching tutorial

In this tutorial, I will show you how you can hand launch and land your DJI Mini 3 (and 4) Pro drone. I am using the Mini 3 Pro for the demonstration. This technique is sometimes considered advanced, but it may be required when you are in an area where it's not an option for you to ground launch your drone. This tutorial is for educational purposes only.

    Have you noticed that the sole has separated from the upper where they meet? Like above where the sole is stitched to the leather? I have the Tracker Decon FG 2 and that is what happened to them.

    Literally the best shoe ever made mine are three years old and I have not been nice to them. Make sure to treat those with a good leather oil make sure to get some on the internal heel counter that's the only part that failed on mine treat your gear well and it will treat you well.

    So last week after only 234km (145miles) my Topo Runventure 3 shoes fell apart mid hike I was pretty gutted because I loved them. I won't be buying Topo again though as they cost me about $1aud per km, which seems a bloody rip-off. I typically only hike once per week for 6 - 12 km. In 4 weeks time I am going on holiday where I plan to hike about 12km per day for 3 days in a row, and I now have no hiking shoes, tomorrow I am going shoe shopping and the Magna Forest ESC and Altra Lone Peak are on my shortlist to try. It's going to be hard work convincing the wife I need to buy $360aud shoes, but if these last over 900km like yours have, then $ per km the Magna Forest ESC is a bargain! less than $0.40aud per km. I have been using 0 drop shoes for running and hiking for about 4 years now, and done lots of running on bitumen with 12mm stack height runners, but haven't had anything as minimalist as the Vivobarefoot yet, so if get a pair I am hoping I won't have bitten off more than my feet can bare for this coming holiday. Any suggestions?

      Hi yes, I walk or run every single day, I had a stress fracture in my left shin last October so I took a break from running every day and started hiking. I recently went back to running in the morning in barefoot style shoes (Xero HFS) but still do hiking in the afternoons with the Vivobarefoot Forest Magnas.

    Awesome review, it was very insightful. One question that I have is what kind socks do you pair with these for normal weather and for colder times of the year? I think one problem I have is that the socks I have during the winter aren't warm / thick enough for the colder temps.

    • @user-bx8wf9yw6y
      @user-bx8wf9yw6y 6 месяцев назад

      I have been having some success with Smartwool's cushioned hiking socks for the colder temperatures. I also do wear some gaiters from REI for additional warmth as well. I will say that if these shoes do get wet, there is not too much you can do to keep your feet warm. I have had to resort to drying them out in front of a space heater to counter this. For the warmer times, i use short cotton socks.

    Great real-life use review; thank you for doing this. I did get the taller boot version, before the Magna was out, and I'm glad of it for my use. The top part still allows good flexibility and gives welcome scuff protection for the ankles in foresty or rocky terrain. One of my uses is working around felled trees in our woodsy pasture harvesting firewood. They keep the water out a bit higher up, too, for slushy stuff and splashing through streams. I do maintain mine with a natural beeswax waterproofing (Sno-Seal). With the aspects that are the same between the two versions, I'm sure I would be loving the Magna just as well for everything else.

    Thank you, I have been thinking of swapping my usual hiking boots for barefoot. Where I live, it can be hot and has rocky terrain. do you think these would be suitable? As you trailed them in wet and snow

    • @user-bx8wf9yw6y
      @user-bx8wf9yw6y 6 месяцев назад

      For me personally, they tend to get warm in warmer weather (60-70 degrees F) so if you regularly get those temps and higher, these might not be the best, even with light socks. Vivobarefoot does offer the PRIMUS TRAIL KNIT FG WOMENS which might be a better solution for you. Speaking for myself, I think that barefoot shoes are a sort of 'glove for your foot' so you might keep several different pairs eventually to match the conditions you are going into. Thank you for the question, I hope I answered it well.

      Get a breathable mesh or canvas shoe with smaller lugs for warm weather, these are meant for cooler weather and loose terrain. You'll destroy them on rocks and get sweaty feet in the process.

    • @mandyinabudhabi
      @mandyinabudhabi 6 месяцев назад

      thank you@@CptAngelKGaming this is partly why I have put off buying Vivabare Foot. As they are not cheap, and if the rocky terrain may destroys them, as I do not know how indestructible they are

    • @subspaceanomaly
      @subspaceanomaly 5 месяцев назад

      @@mandyinabudhabi people are running around in mountains and rocks in vivobarefoot shoes with no problems. my minimal experience so far is that you get more grip with this kind of shoe as you're using your foot more and place them a bit more mindfully on the ground. sounds like the magna fg would suit you

    • @PostiePaul4
      @PostiePaul4 5 месяцев назад

      @@subspaceanomalyagreed I have the fg tracker which is great in dry conditions and on rock. The esc sole is second to none in wet muddy conditions but on wet Rock is not that good .you do use your forefoot to flex downwards with practice after a while to prevent slipping as you would when barefoot
