I'm leaving the position I'm in soon too (bc its a temporary position and i didn't pass the competitive interview round for the permanent position). But just before this job i was in a really horrible work situation for a very long time. It's hard moving on but life is too short to keep doing something you hate so good luck from now into the future 🤗

I recently quit a job for the same reasons. I was hesitant to leave because the team was understaffed and mangement made is clear they resented me for leaving, but it was the right decision. In my gut I knew it. And now I have started the new job, it is like night and day. I feel lighter, head clearer and more focused back on to myself. It is always the right decision to leave a job heading south.

Congratulations on your new job with the State. Remember to set good boundaries with yourself while working hard and know when you need to take a break and learn to take care of yourself first both mentally and physically. ❤️ mom.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience, especially since it's through the lens of a fellow black woman. Living on your own is no joke when you don't have any pillars of support physically there. Other than that, I admire your will power to step into the unknown 🫶 I'm planning on moving there in about a year's time & have been researching on what the vibe feels like long term. I've visited there once for about a week or so in 2021 summer and absolutely loved it. The true test is when I actually get there 🫠

I’m 23 and really want to begin a new chapter in my life and am in the process of saving money, looking at houses/apartments. When I say houses, I mean those 50k+ manufactured homes which are honestly kinda cute, old but cute. But in the coming year I plan on driving from Houston TX all the way to Amburn WA which is in between Seattle and Tacoma I think but with my job i’m currently in they said they would approve me for a transfer to a location near there and i’m really excited. I’m so over the “city” life and hot weather.

Something you mentioned that was interesting is when you mentioned something on the lines of, you would tell others one thing and you would sooner or later do something completely different. If this is a pattern that has been occuring for a while, then perhaps stop telling people whats your next plans, until you have already achieved your goals. "I am not sure what it is" about telling others our plans, but from my experience and observations it always sabatouge them, or never end up actually happening.

girl im in the same exact spot as you. I'm a remote worker and have been deciding (for a year now )where I want to move to. I'm the type that gets excited about a state or city very easily and then tell people "YALL THIS IS THE PLACE" but then change my mind later. Im craving to find a home base and stability. Don't be embarrassed - I think a lot of people go through this.

Ive enjoyed watching your videos. I totally get you! your 20's is figuring out what you want to do. Its okay to move to different places and figure out what you enjoy and love you don't need to settle right away. Maybe its even out of the country! Im also in my 20s and trust me you are not the only one, we are all fresh adults trying to navigate the world. You'll look back at this moment and realize how far you've come :))

Agree about shipping a car. Can’t believe the hassle they put you through😡 Moving is stressful enough. Driving across takes 5 or 6 days driving 7 hours/day. Don’t drive across at night.
