Tastes slightly vanilla -ish to me. But tastes like pandan which I know isn’t helpful.

It’s delicious! Blantons is maybe the perfect bourbon for whiskey forward cocktails like this. Lots of flavour plus the horse for the day! Seller 12 OF sounds delicious.

@LenfantsCocktails 2oz wellers 12, 0.25oz demerara syrup, 2 dashes yellow Angostura bitters, 1 dash orange bitters, 1 dash black walnut bitters, express an orange peel over the drink in the mixing glass before adding the ice, coat the bar spoon in amareno cherry juice, throw ice in and stir for 6 seconds or so. Strain it into your rocks glass over a large cube. Rim the glass with orange oils, then throw the peel into the drink. If you have a smoker, lightly smoke it but only half as much as usual. Let me know if you can think of any way to improve this. Oh and Garnish with the amareno cherry of course. But drain as much syrup from it as possible.

It’s really tasty and not lacking in depth or complexity.

I’ve done it without and didn’t notice too much. But if you are using. Higher proof spirit initially you’ll get more clove flavour. It’s not going to be prominent but it’s to help add some depth to the flavour

I got it from my local liquor shop but I've seen it all around and online now.

It's definitely a unique gin but I really liked it.

I haven't had beefeater in a while but it's on my list. This is just a big bodied and fuller flavour than Tanqueray in my opinion but to be fair, the Tanqueray 10 gives it a run for its money.

Really? That interesting, I didn't catch any rum flavours.

Maybe you were drinking rum then. Or drink more gin and work on refining your palate a bit because, respectfully, this gin, or any gin, should not taste like rum.

I've never tried it with ginger syrup, I need to put that on my list. I do like Reed's quite a bit, the only issue I typically have is the bottles are 12oz mean means I need to either drink a triple or have a few of them. Wish they made some smaller bottles.

The mix of components really matters with the proportions as you said. I love the sloe gin flavour so I can't blame you for upping the quantity. I bet it was so tasty. Sloe Gin fizz, a drink that deserves so much more attention and love. Especially with Plymouth.

It was a good mix, but could be helped with a touch added sweetness.
