    Is he trying to save his subs to take out the Russian convoy once Barb starts or something? I am not familiar with TRP, but this is the most passive Battle of the Atlantic I have seen, even taking into account how quickly you have been finding his subs.

      He knows my strategy that I like to damage subs and not really destroy them to drain some of his MPP.

    Enemy is 2 Hex away from Tongchuan that would kill the supply to half the chinese forces but instead he is attacking the northern flank. :p

      Thats because their is a wall of fortifications down their with artillery. Any attack he does he will get hit with about 6 points or more of damage. Its almost suicidial. Spoiler: When I move my artillery away he then tries to go on the attack their again, forcing me to bring my artillery back down.

      @@Lothos_ But if he use some medium bombers to bring down the entrenchment and than use his artillery to soften you up. he wont receive 6 points of damage and the artillery can also only shot 1 time each turn. If he have killed one dude in the line you need to decide if you want to put your arty in the south to defend sian or the nort to defend yenan and he can then attack in the other direction. I dont think the attack in the north will get him anywhere.

      @@ludwigneigl891 easier said than done! He tried that in a previous game and got desimated between the AA guns and the artillery. In fact the Communist Chinese ended up launching a massive counter attack and the Japaense line in taht area collapsed for a while and he had to rebuild it a few hexes away and then pushed me back to the same spot. That was in a previous game.

      @@Lothos_ Hahaha, it should not be easy. but Japan should be able to overcome chinese defences if they are so heavily engaged. Maybe he didnt planned his offensive very carefully.

    Would you say that the mod is in a playable state for single player at this point? Just wondering since you made comments about singleplayer AI fixes in this episode.

      TRP Europe has a good AI and is fully playable. TRP World it has a Japan AI but USA AI is only defensive and not offensive. I am hopping that one day the devs will add additional AI commands to allow me to make a better Pacific AI.

    i agree. the attack on supply is kind of cheap shot. the game is not really made for this type of warfare.

      It is not, but many players feel it is. I explain in the training videos the damage discrepency between what a strategic bomber can do and how long it takes to repair it and it does not match. A level 10 supply point takes about 5 to 6 months to fully repair which is not historically accurate.

    I have paid 20MPP for 5 turns to build the oil field in Pölitz but its still at 0 strength in Oct 1940 like half a year after the payment. Is there something wrong or does it start at an later date? Norway dont seem to get angry at the allies for raiding the konvoi route to germany. Is there a reason for? Artillery and tactical bomber dont de-entrench enemy units. Should i use them after i have brought down the entrenchment to kill the enemy unit. or should i use them mainly to make moral damage so the medium bomber and infantry receive less losses when attacking afterwards? You suggested the use of combined arms. while germany have tanks, artillery and planes. japan mostly rely on infantry. Your opponent also rely mostly an human wave attacks to advance in china. how do i perform more combined arms with japan? sorry for asking so much questions. i played thousands of hours SC but this mod is new to me.^^

      For Politz, please take the time and read the decision. It tells you it will activate after a year. If the allies are controlled by the AI then its being blocked as its human only (AI is not as smart as a human player). If you are playing against another human player, the event will stop firing after the mining event. As for the rest, You realy need to go into the discord channel and ask your questions in their.

    Hello, Good luck with your campaign. this is an awesome mod. I wonder why the japanese cant build any new carriers untill 1942. Is there a reason for this?

      Yes, they already have all their major carriers they had from 1941 and 1942 are either on the map or on the production que. Japan strictly build smaller carriers during the early years. To help simulate this decision I made it so Japan can not build any more major carriers until later in the war. This also helps the USA catchup per say on carriers and they should be able to pass Japan.

      @@ludwigneigl891 its to also keep it balanced. If I was to allow Japan to build a bunch more carriers then their is nothing the USA could ever do to stop them. Japan would do Pearl Harbor, invade Hawaii and then go straight for the USA West Coast because their air superioty would be unstopable. No fun in a game if your opponent can make specific decisions (each game) that have nothing to do with strategy that would automatically win it for them. At some point I will put out strategy videos for each major power and go over what their strategies should be (or what I am trying to accomplish in the mod). GDP wise, the Axis never had a chance. If the balance of the game is proper and both the Axis player and Allied player are of equal level abilities then the Axis should be conquered in every game. The main goal (for the Axis to win) is can you survive past 1945.

      @@Lothos_ that makes sense to a degree but i think waiting till 1942 is to long since it takes 15 more month to build them. If they start war in 1941 and loose their carrier in a midway like operation they shouldnt have to wait several month the even start building new ones. Also the devense values of all units are way to high. japan cant take hawai. if they do they couldnt invade other high value targets like DIA cause they dont have ressources to take everthing at the same time and they would also spend to much ressources they would need later on. Not sure if i will even do a Pearl Habor. with the attacker allways taking much higher losses... whats the purpose of killing an airplane stationed on hawai and a battleship in the port if you have to spend twice as much mpp to replace your lost carrierplanes? Probably just taking the philipines, dia and burma. Then dig in and let the allies run out of nm when they come in low supply and attack your well supplied fortified troops.

      @@ludwigneigl891 Not sure why you think Japan should invade all targets at the same time including Hawaii. They did not have the resources to do that and it was spread out over 6 months to a year. All of 1942 is what Japan used to take over all the assets in the Pacific. Defensive values are just fine. Watch the training videos and learn combine arms.

    Good work and thank you. I agree with you when it comes to fighter range and tactical bomber killing OP. However, Heavy arti should be able to de-entrenched (at least to a certain degree). And a rocket arti should not be able to de-entrenched but it should be much more mobile and devastated to units in open (or to units that are attacking)... Talking about air power, I will like to see it's influence on an enemy logistics (even fighters could stop trains and trucks in reality). Also a real effect of air units should be on enemy moral. So, I will like to see unit's moral to play a bigger role in this game. Slowing down a speed of moral recovery will make game more realistic (although game might get more boring, since units will have to get rested and rotated more) Finally, cost of units and unit's upgrades is completely unrealistic. In the order to build a Strategic bomber realistically you should need 4 x MP more than to build a fighter. In the order to build a tank you should pay 3 x more MP than to build an AT or arty. Scaling of capital ships and navy unit pricing is even worst. Upgrades is even more funny. Upgrading an airplane is not a pint job. In the order to upgrade a squadron from one gen to another. All airplanes (or tanks) in that squadron need to be replaced with new once. So it should not be cheap. Therefore, I will like to see a system where older tanks can be used to create cheap self-propelled ATs and Artys whit development of appropriate tech. Strategic transportation in all Strategic commander games is unrealistically expensive. One should not spend (garrison value MP) in the order to strategically redeploy an army or an airplane squadron . I know that I wish to much but you call this mode TRP.

    Quick question - I really like this mod for the solo game play, but wondering if it's possible to play TRP using any counter and/or map mods? I'm guessing the answer is no or you would be already be using them!

      Counter mod, no because I moved all the units around so none of the counter mods will work. Map mods should technically work as long as they have a full set and not just a partial set of the map converted. Some of the map mods are not a full set.

    do these same installation concept work for the base game med2 vanilla? and can I use the reshade to play med2 online multiplayer?

      Yes for both your questions. In fact when you install it following the instructions I give it automatically works with the base game and all mods that use it.

      In the video I am using a mod called Divide and Conquer which is a total conversion mod for the game. It makes it into Middle Earth and uses the graphics that their team created. I assume that is what you are referring to.

      Hey! Sorry i phrased that wrong. My game looks like Just Vanilla design with enhanced graphics by reShade, but no change in the graphics themselves. The difference is best described with the lava in mordor, in the video it is grey with light orange - in my game it is fire red lava.       @@rangerragn4r41 the graphics wont change a huge amount, it just makes them look a little better. I am using a 2k monitor, so keep in mind the higher your resolution the worse it may look. So if you are using a 4k monitor and playing at 4k it may look boxy again as these graphics are really small compared to 4k LOL.
