I told Scar I wouldn't help him on the bridge, which skips the quest and makes him appear outside. Entering the Iron Throne sets the variable required to get sent to Candlekeep by Duke Eltan

I've never tried to speedrun Durlag's Tower, it's probably doable though

Yep, you can! Arkanis does attack but Protection from Magical Weapons allows us to survive it a couple times. And though everybody seems pretty angry, they don't follow us outside

@@natcat1363 Well to be fair there were only two runs so maybe it was a coincidence. I'm obsessed with BG right now and I check the speedrun page almost every other day even though it usually never updates, so I was very happy to see a new run! Seems very sparse on the BG2 front though.
