Koishi's theme never felt creepy to me, it always felt a bit bumbling but heartfelt and somewhat tragic. Like the "chaotic" parts represent her mannerisms now, while the more gathered portions feel like Koishi's old self and a mournful smile to the memories of a person who isn't there any more. I really hope she regains her sanity some day ;_;

One of my favorite parts in all the ost has to be the part in chimata’s theme that lines up with her spellcard rainbow ring of people, it’s sooo goooood and it represents chimata desperately fighting for her life, the music falling and then rising over and over and over again (she’s also one of my favorite characters in general) The opening of eiki’s theme consistently gives me goosebumps I cannot tell you enough how much I adore shinmy’s theme. I literally cannot stress enough how fantastic it is I don’t think it’s possible for junko’s theme to have a better name for her it’s just the desperation and sadness and anger filling her heart Nue’s theme is incredible and NOBODY TALKS ABOUT IT!!! Same with Raiko Mokou’s, Parsee’s, Byakuren’s and Shinmy’s themes get me legitimately emotional One of the most important things about a touhou soundtrack for me for it to enter “I am going to listen to this on repeat” is the beginning to get me “hooked” on it and there are so many ones that do not disappoint. You will never be able to make me choose a single favorite because I just love too damn many. I think if I had to choose a game with my favorite ost lineup it’s probably pcb though Also zanmu’s theme is the type that gets better and better the more and more you listen to it. I started out like “eh its ok” and now I love it lol My favorite pc98 theme is probably mugetsu’s purely because of that intro. Holy fuck

The Capital City of Flowers in The Sky is easily one of my favorite themes from one of my favorite stages. The part where the drums cut out puts me on the verge of tears from how beautiful it is. Edit: I also want to point out Faraway Voyage of 380 000 Kilometers. All of it. Especially the part about 90 seconds in where the descending melody with the synth kicks in just makes for an epic track for what is probably one of the hardest stages in the whole series (or so i've heard, i haven't played lolk yet).
