    There's a ton of great lessons here. Sarah is a testament to seeing opportunities where other's would see excuses. Her message of how clear things become once you simply decide not to quit is the key. There's a million reasons NOT to do something and none of them outweigh the one really good reason TO DO something. Kudos to her for setting a standard that other's can aspire to. And good interview. Keep em coming. I love seeing the people I've shared a few miles with here and there get to tell their stories.

      I was debating between mommentum 2.0 or the basham the main complaint I heard aboutthe basham was that the bottles were awkward to get to while running.... how are you liking the mommentum vs basham?

    • @aavillagomez
      @aavillagomez Год назад

      I prefer the Basham overall. Smaller, lighter, and comfortable. I have no trouble using the bottles with either vest. Unless you’ve had a shoulder injury or you are very stiff (you don’t stretch regularly), the bottles are no problem. Both vests are solid choices though.

    Hello from Mexico There is nothing I don't like about the momentum 2.0 I tried 12+ different vests in 18 months. This is the one I was looking for. No more bladder either. It's perfect, how the bottles sit in the lower back. I carry my bear spray in the left pockets, fits perfectly. and gel flask in the small L pocket.. The back pocket is really nice. Th Ultra Aspire momentum 2.0 has been my running vest for about a year now. Nothing better Nice video. Thank you

    Where would I put a go pro with a stick? Back pocket?

    • @runtheriot
      @runtheriot Год назад

      It fits in the front pocket if the stick is retractable or short. You could also put it in the back pocket. I've carried one before with a short stick.

    Very helpful! Thank you!! I've been loving a Salomon Active Skin 8 for a few years now but the elastic is starting to age - AND I want to hold more water without dealing with a bladder. This, with an extra flask or two up front seems like an amazing option, especially for the hotter events I'm signed up for!

    • @runtheriot
      @runtheriot 2 года назад

      Glad to help! I've used it exactly like that for those types of events. One of the things I like about this vest is that it is so comfortable I can use it for long training runs with the 2 bottles or 100 milers loaded with nutrition and gear. It works great for both! Good Luck on your races!

  • @michaelreed649

    Thanks for this review. 2 questions. 1. How comfortable is the material? It looks like the material does not stretch and could be uncomfortable. 2. How breathable is it? I live in Houston. It is incredibly humid, muggy, and hot.

    • @runtheriot
      @runtheriot 2 года назад

      1. I always wear it with a shirt and find it very comfortable on the shoulders. You're correct though. The material on the shoulders does not stretch and I can see where it might be a bit uncomfortable without a top. 2. I find it very breathable. I've worn it and the previous ones on some pretty hot races and felt it much more breathable than some of the other packs I have. I can definitely understand the muggy, Houston weather. I'm from Louisiana so I've been there! It gets pretty humid here in our part of Oklahoma, but not like down south!!

    Love mine. Only thing I would improve is the side pockets. Wish they could have a zipper or be deeper.

    • @runtheriot
      @runtheriot 2 года назад

      I mostly use the side pockets for extra nutrition and my wrappers from used nutrition. They are kind of the last place I put stuff. A zipper on one side would be cool though to seal some stuff in.

  • @najman2741

    Idk man. This thing drove me nuts and I’ll unfortunately be returning it. I found that when I run, it does bounce and I have to pull those straps tight every couple hundred yards, which does stop it but only for a minute or so. The webbing of the belt does stretch so I was thinking on your remarks about the belt “setting” after awhile which seemed to make sense. In my experience, however, the belt just keeps sliding looser from the buckles and needs constant pulling and tightening. It’s just too much fiddling with it to keep it fit. Furthermore, I’m not as big a fella as you but I’m 6’ 175 lbs and I even found that I had to pull the straps to their very tightest limit to fit me. It’s a bummer because I was really hoping this would work out. I guess I’ll just stick with the vest life. Glad it works for you though. Take care.
