Why Stress and Emotions Could Be Causing Your Chronic Pain & How To Heal (TMS, Neuroplasticity)
In this video, I dive into my personal journey with chronic pain, exploring how stress and emotions can manifest physically as pain, particularly through tight and tense muscles. If you've been dealing with ongoing pain despite trying different treatments, this video could provide new insights.
I discuss the groundbreaking work of Dr. John Sarno and his book Healing Back Pain, which introduced the concept of Tension Myositis Syndrome (TMS)-the idea that repressed emotions could be contributing to chronic pain. I also cover the power of neuroplasticity, highlighting Alan Gordon’s work from The Way Out, explaining how you can retrain your brain to reduce or even eliminate chronic pain.

    No place in the world which is occupied by humans is 100% safe. But we do okay here. Ethnic migration only works when it is assimilative. Non assimilative, non skilled migration brings the many problems we see in Britain, the US and all of Europe. Migration from Africa is extremely small because the skill set from that part of the world brings little or no net benefit.

    The reason the are few African people in Australia is there was a policy of White Immigration. During the late 1980s the Immigration Policy opened up. So people from the usual first world economy's of Asia, Singapore, South Korea and what was Hong Kong (British) came in large numbers. Others followed from the Philippines. The Vietnamese and Cambodians came at first as refugees due to the Vietnam War. Australia was in some areas a Penal Colony so there was not need to import African slaves. So there was never a black population base as in USA or Brazil etc.. Just because Australia was a member of the British Empire/Commonwealth didn't mean African countries were big trading partners or deep cultural relationships were developed.

      The last remaining elements of the "White Australia" were abolished in the 1970s. It's also worth remembering that there was considerable Asian migration during the gold rush era of the mid 1800s and later. I've met Chinese Australians whose family history is almost entirely the descendants of gold rush era migration. It's also easy to forget how culturally/ethnically diverse Australia's "White" or "European" population is. It's like a "hidden" diversity you only really become aware of when you take the time to get to know people from different backgrounds or personal histories.

    • @listohan
      @listohan 7 дней назад

      All "non white" people were excluded by the White Australia policy which was an article of faith for decades until, like the Berlin Wall, it collapsed with a minimum of fuss. in the 1970s. multiculturalism is pretty much embraced for the diversity it brings without the hostility evident in the UK which in turn led to the disaster that is Brexit. There are high levels of intermarriage in Australia which is a cause and effect of this harmony. Britain had an empire, hence the greater number of African and related migrants. Black migrants have been arriving as refugees in the more recent waves from this source. Refugees tend to come first followed by those who choose to leave their homes rather than being forced from them.

    Aussie here, lived 4 years in London and travelled 5 months in India. 1. I totally agree, Indian food here is okay, but rarely great. Indian food in India had 5 levels of complexity, UK sometimes had 3 levels, Australia has level 1 and way too much sugar. I'm in the burbs and occasionally we get new restaurants that start off great, but then change to be like all the other Indian fare, because that's what people expect and restaurants are a business. On the plus side, Australia has better Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese and fresh produce. This used to be more true before all the fruit and veggie barns and butchers started closing. 2. Yes, indoor living is better in the UK. I miss the theatre, museums and art galleries. And PUBS and Clubs, in particular. The theatre: my God, so many plays, so brilliant, and so cheap. When I lived in the UK I missed nature, wilderness, beaches, sun. A notable difference when you're saving money is that the best parts of Australia are free, whereas the best parts of the UK cost. I like your analysis fair, accurate and balanced.

    • @geckogo7328
      @geckogo7328 24 дня назад

      @hemalmistry Yeah, agree: it's very interesting to get different perspectives from people who've spent time in the same different cultures as yourself, especially with differing cultural biases. I'm Aussie with British parents and just spent several months in India because of my parents. (My parents travelled overland (mostly ofc) from England to Indonesia but spent some significant months in India in the 60s : in jail, under house arrest with a Benghal Prince, and, working with under the Brothers of Calcutta with the lepers of Kalicutt. Hot tea: Mother Teresa was a PR hungry Kardashian, without a sex tape. She only helped anyone - lepers specifically - after they converted to Christianity. The Brothers helped everyone, regardless of religion.). I don't know how you'd rate yourself, but my understanding and attachment to the various cultures is probably #2 Aussie #4 British and #10 India. Before I moved to the UK to live, when I was just an Australian born kid with two mostly UK parents and 4 English grandparents I thought I was half British. After moving to the UK, I realised I was really just an Australian who shared some peculiar habits and flavour preferences: ie. you MUST scald the teapot and dry it thoroughly before 1. Placing the loose leaves and then adding boiling water; 2. Mayonnaise is ick, salad cream is yum; vinegar makes everything taste better, like pickled anything, Branston sauce with cheese, salt + vinegar chips etc. That the British judge people based on their accent first is just like Australia, and better than any alternative.

    • @hemalmistry
      @hemalmistry 23 дня назад

      You have some fascinating stories to tell of your parents and articulate it very well. Thanks for sharing them. I really like how you mentioned it's great to explore and try out different things and not niche down at first. I started off doing unboxing vids then transitioned into vlogging

      That’s interesting to know, I hear a lot of RUclipsrs started out doing something completely different to what they share now and it makes sense as it’s all part of self discovery of how you can help others and make a difference, along with sharing on topics that mean something to you. Hope the vlogging works out well for you as it has done for so many. 🤞🏽🙂

    If you want great Indian food and you are in Sydney go to Homebush (particularly) and Harris Park, but there are good options everywhere just not as many as UK because we have lots of other options. For me whilst I enjoy the occassional Indian meal and cook some for myself, it is not my first pick, not even my second or third. Good to hear you feel at home. About the mood of the place, I found the UK a downer for the same reason you find Australia lifts you. The weather is dismal in Britain and you end up cooped up indoors. Now when I go to Europe I avoid Britain.

      Thanks for the suggestions, I’ll have to check out Homebush and will be visiting Harris park again soon. Yeah everyone I know who has been back to the UK, say the same and wouldn’t want to move back for those reasons and more. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this. 🙂

    As for backlighting turning on by itself I can confirm it happens the same thing with my mx keys s. I already requested a replace to amazon but at this point I'm sure they're all faulty.

    MX Keys is the worst keyboard I ever used. The tips of my fingers hurt when I only type on this keyboard. I used it for two years now and I was always thinking it's me using it wrong. it can't be the keyboard, thinking because I use a keyboard drawer under the desk to lower the keyboard and hide it when I'm not using it that made my nails hurt when I type, but I was WRONG, it is the keyboard. It didn't come to my mind that I already used many types of keyboards over the years and none of those keyboard feels like I'm hitting my nails against a metal block like what I feel when I use MX keys. I hated it when I write. It hurt so much. So, what made me post this is when I noticed that when I write on windows notepad it skips letters a lot. Tried to figure out if it is the Bluetooth dongle that i use or if it's an app problem, something wrong maybe with the notepad. but after changing the keyboard, I immediately felt normal and my fingers nails didn't hurt when I write and no letters skipping what so ever. The MX is the worst keyboard I ever used. All my other keyboards feels better and write better when compared to MX keys. even the cheapest one.

    Never rinse the filter under tap water. Plus you should change it to sand for your cory catfish. You need like a bio cylinder or a sponge filter for your bb and don't clean the sponge filter to often. And also a test kit

    Raw deal 😂

    What I do now is eat some raw veggies and then eat my main meal after 10-15 min so I get the vitamins and the macros

    • @hemalmistry
      @hemalmistry 2 месяца назад

      That’s a good idea to get those nutrients in. I tend to have fruit in the morning and include some salad in the day, other than that, I eat what I want.

    How were you getting your protein and other macros on this diet? Cheese on top?

    • @hemalmistry
      @hemalmistry 2 месяца назад

      No not cheese as it’s not plant based nor raw, I was relying on the protein in the fruit and veg which wasn’t much. I think you can use raw sprouted lentils to get extra protein.
