Mmmh...I've been into cosmic horror for most of my life. Most depictions of cosmic horror get misunderstood but that's part of the charm and makes up the core of it in my opinion.Your take is very refreshing, thank you for reigniting my interest in this fascinating and hard to nail down genre.

I love this idea. I discovered cozy fantasy a year or so ago with “Legends and Lattes.” I have been obsessed with cuz fiction since and would do some damage for a good cozy cosmic horror story

The Cabin Keeper as a sort of "anti-wisp" is awesome, a light in the dark to guide you to safety and rest.

I did not know I needed the knowledge of this in my life, but I did. I love things that are unearthly and dream-like, but... dreams, not nightmares. Of these, the Cabin Keeper is the one that... gives me the most ideas. Perhaps I could find one of those dwellings and air it out and dust it, but keep the cobwebs in place because spiders are good luck and I don't want to ruin their homes. Maybe I would collect branches in the woods and gather them inside so anyone else who needed to take shelter there and light a fire would have something to start it with. Maybe it would become my secret place, somewhere I could run to when things get too stressful and I just need a day to be alone and *breathe.* Maybe, if I dared to stay the night and light the candle on the windowsill, maybe something would be drawn in from the woods. Maybe it would just look like a wild cat at first, a cat I would certainly feed, even if I had to share my own dinner with it...

This makes me think of Cute Agression! It's the urge to bite or pinch (without true desire to harm). Sometimes positive feelings overload the brain and war with negative ones, according to theories. This feels like that perfect good/bad feeling. I love them!

This is blooming delightful, I love this horrifyingly cosy pantheon very much!

We need more trios of characters

Ok the first guy accepts birthday candles as offerings. The second, loaves of bread (for dipping), the tird you have to set up branches on his altar and add a caterpillar who will build its cocoon there. The last one? Cinnamon sticks and novelty mugs.

One might assume as an old school Lovecraft fan that I would find this anathema. But honestly, I'm totally down with this sort of cosmic whimsy. Bring on the Gezelligeon!

It's a cool idea and the design's are very creative. Btw, it's funny how similar Dutch and German are sometimes. Here in Germany we also have the word gesellig and Geselligkeit.

Love it! I'm thinking about hiw to incorporate them in a Call of cthullu Adventure rigtt now.

Cool new twist

Ideas for some other Gezelligeon entities: The Night Fisher - Water, sailing, fishing, good weather. A dark heron-seraph with many wings, eyes, and arms. Has a fishing pole and net. The Apple King - Farmers, harvests, bakers, pie. Skeletal apple tree ent with a jack o lantern apple for a head. Wears an apron, holding rolling pin and a fresh apple pie. The Jolly Bard - Music, Dance, Celebrations, Fairs, Games. Multi-limbed anenome/eyeball of swirling flame, playing different instruments like a one-man band. Also plays dice and cards. The Rat Pack - Clutter, Merchants, Tinkerers, Craftsman. A fused mass of rats like a hydra, wrapped in rags decorated with different bits and baubles, and massive back pack full of goods for sale. Carries a tall stuff with charms and shiny bits woven around the top.

This was highly enjoyable to watch ❤

Damn, I wish you lived on my street; I could write an epic to go with your pictures. BRILLIANT idea. At first it seems just a good way to be silly, but this is a pretty rich platform, and basing it on a juxtaposition of cosmic horror means it can totally be your own thing, original (which it already is). This may turn out bigger than you thought, you may actually be onto something here.

I think The Scuttling Hug would appreciate my insistence to always eat my dinners with a blanket slightly wrapped around my lower half, tucked under my feet, covering my legs. (If I’m eating while watching a show on some sort of cushion or couch)

You've heard of creature comforts, now it's time for Comfort Creatures.

I adore this whole concept. Gods and ancient beings that just want to enjoy themselves. Comfort the lost and afraid, even if they may be the ones causing that fear. I imagine people cooking their soups and asking the Soup Hag to bless their meal and heal the sick of their family.

I love Public Domain Heroes. They serve as the main inspiration for my own supers universe. It's set in a utopian futuristic world on the verge of destruction by the hero's former friend. They were scientists who were exposed to cosmic energies that transformed them into superhumans.

These are ridiculously cool!! Both the original characters and your reimaginings! Thank you for alerting me to the existence of Magician From Mars especially, I want to use her as a character in some of my own work now...

Seeing your hands swiftly drawing these rich imaginations with such accuracy and results is a treat.

What would drive people mad with these deities is trying to reconcile their initially unsettling appearance with their benevolence, always worried that there's some ulterior motive, secret cost, or monkey's paw effect. Human's tend to assume or over consider the worst outcomes to situations. ESPECIALLY the Soup Hag. Wouldn't YOU be scared to eat what the Soup Hag offers? What if it does this thing, or that thing? What if it counts as a signature to a cosmic contract that the Hag thinks you should have been able to discern from the soup itself? What if the soup puts you to sleep so the Soup Hag can add YOU to the soup? It's all the what ifs and whys. "Why would something that looks so evil be nice to me? It must be secretly bad!" Poor thing must be lonely. Maybe that's the secret contract in the soup! "If you eat the soup, you must be my friend for ever and ever and always for all of time, and visit me occasionally to have more soup. ❤"

I love the redesigns and video. One thing I'd love to see if the orignal character at the end of each section to compare how different your version is. Not everyone is gonna Google who these characters were after the video is done.
