You can raise the warm up lever on the control box to help burn off that excess oil. Trying to start this thing at dead idle will be near impossible, you will just kill the starter
Is that the touch screen at the front? Some of the newer models/rebuilds had them
Shoutout from Singapore. I’m planning to get a set of EcoContact 6 for my Toyota Sienta 2022 Hybrid. As they have EU Label A for fuel efficiency and low rolling resistance. Thanks for testing the tires resulting massive mileage increase.
Is this for sale as part of the liquidation ?
Yes, starts on Trade Me tonight
Let’s press something ❤?
Very nice lathe sir
Do you have a spec sheet for this crane? Also do you know the weight of the machine?
Price kitna hai
Hi Sam how are you going, I just have I question, spare part can you get them eg windscreens, and alike as no one in Australian seams to care
See the BYD E6 New Zealand Australia Facebook group, it has windscreen info and lots of other handy stuff. Here in NZ windscreens are available locally
@@sambrown2305 thanks sound good, is that the older E6 or new E6 group? And tow bars I’m having no Luck here either

Love from nepal 🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵🇳🇵 pray for your success keep it up
Hi Sam sorry to bother you on new years, but my car is not picking up the key fob do you know the battery for the key fob and how to get into it ? As I’m not home 200kms away and in a remote Mt location any idea would be great Craig
You will be able to start the car by holding the keyfob right up flat against the start switch even if the key fob is flat. The key is a CR1632 battery and it's very easy to get to, just slide out the metal key by clicking the lever on top and pull the two sides of the key apart.
Hi Sam sorry it has taking me so long to respond, thank you, for your help car started and got new battery, for fob did my first road trip it was a lumpy drive. We got an hour and a half away from home and charge at Toowoomba, 76 % then went to bunya Mountains. Got there with 45% and stayed about three days was able to trickle feed and kept around 44%. Alex leg was 50 k’s to Kingaroy to a 22 kw AC charger, but of all things it was out of order and there was no other charges for more than 140 km away and I was sitting at 25%. I was lucky enough to go to a hotel where a lady let me charge for a few hours got it to 45% did for 144 km and got there with 3% left little bit touch and go but finally got the charge. We needed about 45 again and then we travelled to Harvey Bay where I stayed with my parents. Unfortunately even Harvey Bay doesn’t have good charges so I can only trickle so yet again about 38% I got back to the same place charge for three hours and then finally back home just under 900 km pretty happy overall it would’ve been good if Kingaroy had been working just about to watch your new video on your road trip and can’t wait to enjoy. Thank you again for all your help

What do you think overall of the tires. In terms of comfort, noise levels, how it drives etc.
They seem fine to me, but I'm not really very picky about that sort of detail.
@@skylarc Okay. Just wondering because I have Eco Contact 6’s on my car now and thinking of replacing for something more proper.
@@nickdegroot2445 it's nicer than the old tyres, but the E6 isn't really a handler at the best of times. I really only care about range and longevity.
@@sambrown2305 yeah true. I like the comfort and efficiency but I think of taking other tires because of safety and sportiness. I am thinking of Michelin Primacy 4+. I think efficiency will be almost the same over time as Eco Contact 6 comes from the factory with lower tread for efficiency.
@@nickdegroot2445 so really beyond my interest in tyres, they're safe enough according to the reviews I've seen, they last longer due to the compound they use and they're super efficient. The E6 will never handle like anything other than a 2.4 ton electric taxi so as far as "sportiness" or any other measure beyond range is not something I even consider.
Hi Sam thank you, the clock has never been set is still on 2012 date setting
So hold down the enter button at the top of the steering wheel button cluster while the car is in park, this will bring up the menu where you can set the clock, brake regeneration settings and other handy stuff
Hi Sam sorry to annoy you again, but having trouble, changing cock and date the enter button does not do anything, what am I doing wrong, Plus how do you stop a AC charge session, is it also in the menu sections, I have read the manual but can’t make any sense of it Craig
Changing the clock and date should be permanent (unless you disconnect the 12v battery) once you hit enter out of the menu. Almost all chargers should have a stop charge button, but if they don't just hold down the unlock button on the main key fob for 10 seconds and it'll stop charging and you'll be able to unplug, you'll hear the car make a chirp once it's stopped charging. You can also pull the emergency release which is located on the back of the charge plug and can be accessed through the removable grate in the boot behind the charge port.
Hi Sam, can you tell me the size of your tyres and are you still happy with them Craig e 6 owner
215/65/17 they're much better than the factory Roadstone Rodians.
@@sambrown2305 thank you I have Maxxis but are 225/65/17 and I’m not getting good mileage at all I’m at at 78 % for 66.4 km, the tyres look to big for the car by the way it’s brand new 2019/11 built been sitting around in Sydney just got last week 40 km on the clock, it had 90 % only got around 150 km 🙁 I charged to 98 % when it stop and now at 66.4 % @ 78 % Is that bad ?
@@craigkrause2529 so that's 22% for 66km so about 3km per 1%. It's not that terrible, increase your tyre pressures to 42psi and drive the car to close to flat and recharge it a few times and see how it goes. Let me know. 225/65/17 is the factory size, they'll be fine
@@sambrown2305 thank you will do Really appreciate the help
@@craigkrause2529 I once had a car that I got with 75% charge and it went to 50% in only a few km. After charging it was fine. The reason is because with lithium phosphate batteries, the difference in voltage particularly in the middle of the charge is very small, so it's really hard for the BMS to know the true state of charge and it needs to calibrate via charging and discharging. Your battery will be fine, I've never seen a 2019 car with a battery less than about 97% SOH.
Hi Sam can you tell me if it has spare tyre or puncher kit Craig
Hi, it has a spare tyre, it's a space saver but it's better than than a goop puncher kit.
Thank you I’m getting a brand new one in Australian that a taxi company got but Aren’t using then still green with white roof
perfect landing.. at least that's how I always land and I say it's perfect every time. ;)
Hey what motor and prop did you use?
To be honest I didn't think it was a particularly great plane. But here's what I used: www.rcnz.com/categories/electric-motors-and-accessories/brushless-motors/aircraft-brushless-motors/racerstar-22-12-brushless-motor-2450kv-23s/ www.rcnz.com/categories/propellers-and-spinners/glass-filled-props/ma-std-profile-propeller-7x6/
Thanks for getting back to me... No problem think I'll look into printing one of the ones from flight test if that's the case.. Thanks for your feedback mate
I was enjoying that until the last 30 seconds! Ah, the area reminds me of Hinds, Timaru and Winchester
The last 30 seconds is the best bit!
Oooof one little hard landing and 💥💥
nice flying... thought about setting up a head tracker?
Yep, got one on order
Recovered from the initial lurch to the left on launch but clipped the hedge and I think damaged the elevator, down elevator was no more :(
I cant believe how dangerous that was
Test piloting is a dangerous job, this guy is the first to walk away after landing in this plane. With the next test being airframe high speed strength testing he may not be so lucky.
