This is how i made a private server in jamulus. bat file content: @echo off cd C:\Program Files (x86)\jamulus jamulus.exe -s -p 22124 -w "Jamulus Private server" open notepad. copy content, save it as a JammulusServer.bat and off we go.

Great demo! Had a similar problem on my board with my Shure GLXD 16 wireless and a wah. The ripple hum was infuriating from the Shure and this little thing saved me from more hair loss and throwing gear out of my window 😂 Cheers 👍👍
Hello! I have about 6 pedals powered by a supposedly isolated power supply but i still get that hissing sound despite having a noise gate pedal. Do you think this will help? And if so, where in the chain should i place it? Or should it go between the power adapter and the power supply itself?
Noise gate inside multiefect and still problem with HUM
try with a nother powersupply for the external unit.. Plug one thing together at a time.. Check cables, sheilding inside guitar, dont stand to close to the amp.. There are alot of things that can causes noise.

Hey i am having trouble with noise when using pedal connected to yamaha sc02, noise appear only when i record my guitar with video/recording software, when i put my guitar direct to yamaha sc02(no pedal chain), the noise are gone...do you think that is some groundloop noise?
sounds like a ground loop issue.. Experiment with just one pedal in the chain and add up.. try with like 2 powersupply´s.. iso outputs is deffently worth it!!
ive just added another 9 v powersupply to some external pedal to my board... but the noise blocker is a cheat try out..
Someone claims it can also make my power supply from non isolated outputs into isolated outputs. Is this true or false? I can't imagine that it is true.
Nope.. DC can not be transformed to other voltages without some sort of connections to its power source.. I dont know if isolated powersupplys for guitar pedals has like a little transfor for each output.. But anyways it was worth a try with this small injection unit..
It isolates every output it is connected to. So, you have to connect one of these to EACH of the daisy chain outputs to make them isolated. But, if you have something like a 1-spot or Powerall that costs around 50 euros/dollars and it has 5 outputs you need 5 of these noise blockers with 10 euros/dollars each equals 50 more bucks. For a 100 - 130 you can buy an isolated power supply like a 1-spot DC-7 (7 outs) or an MXR mini brick (8 outs).
@@gkol69 Thanks George, I have solved the problem allready, they are giving me a full refund on my T.REX, since they have sold me this as isolated, so they admitted they made a mistake. I am getting a Voodoo Lab Power 2, with 8 isolated outputs. I only have to pay the difference in price, wich is only fair I think.

Hi. I created my own version of the bat file which worked fine. The server came up and I was able to connect with it on my own network. When I had others try to connect from external locations using the public/external IP address, they were unable to do so. I haven't been able to resolve this.
Have you checked that the port is open on your router?

hi, thanks for the video. However, i cant get it to work. I am on windows 10, my server loads up from the bat file, but when i try to connect from jamulus, i do not show up in the server window, instead i connect to a window like a normal jam window with the ip and port number in the corner and there are lights to indicate my mics are on etc but there is no fader/slider. Any idea what the problem might be please? PROBLEM SOLVED. I checked the router settings and managed to open port forwarding (or something) to allow people to connect to my public ip and now the public ip address works. Thanks again for the video

hmm, i think so.. Im not an expert in networking but i know a bit. But as long as you just forwarding that specific port for your pc ip address, i guess thats ok..

What are the advantages of setting up and using a private server? Is it only the ability to run a private jam session? Can using a private server help a group of musicians to all connect with the shortest ping times? Are there other advantages to using a private server?
The advantage here is that if there is no server near your locality and everyone in the group is close to your location, the latency will be greatly reduced with your own private server

Hello, thank you for Jamulus, it’s a life saver in these times of confinement in the home. I am getting this error message when trying to setup my own private server: Network Error: Cannot bind the socket (maybe the software is already running). Can you or anybody comment on what might be happening please?
This is easy: some software is already using that same port. Switch to another port number
Hi Ans, I followed youre instructions. The Bat.file was made. But when I start Jamulus, and starting the bat.file, my IP and port don't show up if I click Settings, as it shows up in youre movie. What dit I do wrong? Maybe a router issue?
Hmm.. I guess that jamulus remember what i previous has entered ip that line. ive found an new and easy way to do the server startup, and might make a new video this weekend about that.. Anyway, you schould type in your lokal ip address, and other that should join your server should type your IP-address and port number from out side; like 123.123.123.123:12345 ive found a little video where you can find you local ip address - ruclips.net/video/w5-C-SZC6c4/видео.html and to find your out-side ipadress, just search myip in google. Hope it helps

Hej Jan, Jeg tror det er ligegyldigt hvilken port du vælger.. hæ, ved ikke om jeg fik tastet forkert. Jeg vil mene det er ligegyldigt hvilken ip du bruger så længe at du portforwarder til din lokale ipadresse. når du hopper på din lokale server, dvs den du har startet på din computer ( Bruger jeg min lokale ipadresse, Jeg mener ikke der er nogen grund til at snakke ud ud i verden for så at skulle snakke tilbage til din lokale server ) Medspillere skal bruge din udefrakommende ip adresse.. Version 3.5 er udkommet og fungere perfekt hos mig..

Uhh i dont know much about mac and the interface they have.. But if you could make an extra shortcut to jamulus and start it with a -s I know that there are some documentation on it, if i find it later i will send you the link

Thanx . I followed the instructions, but my server did not show up. I red that there are only 200 servers possible,...... maybe thats the reason ?
what version are you running, i had a problem with one of the versions, but got it running again in the latest 3.5.2

Thanx alot. Good video! Question. How do I made a public group for me and my band? I saw the video of making a privat groep, but thats to complecated for me. Do I need therefore the other little programm, Jamulus server?

@@guitarans I saw that video as well. Thanx. But fooling with my IP adress and port, is to complicated for me. And somehow I thought that this second video was made for making only a private group. Thats not neccecary for me. To make a public group, is far enough for me and our band
