In mid June of 2003 I was leaving Nashville after trying to make it work. I popped a tape into my friends stereo and recorded what I could from WRVU before it was time for me to hit the road. I listened to that tape for a long time. They announced who did every song, except for Night, Nite. It took me years to find out who it was. I think I emailed WRVU and they pointed me to a message board. I was ecstatic when I finally found who did it. That song meant a lot to me, as my kid had just turned one a week or so before I made the tape. It was a heavy part of my life, but now 23 years later, things are looking good. I like to revisit this song sometimes. Thanks for posting the album.
My intro to the band. Was on a friend’s iPod and I needed more. Then I heard “A Plea” and holy shit what a fucking experience that was. A lot of this record is up there with my fav Yo La Tengo songs &I firmly believe it needs to reach a wider audience. Some movie or tv soundtrack perhaps
Quite possibly in my top 10 or even 5 tracks ever, and I know I say that about a lot of tracks but I REALLY MEAN IT THIS TIME. So grateful to exist during the time this was put out into the world (I was 6 and wouldn’t hear the masterpiece that is “A Plea for Tenderness” for something like 12 or 13 more years). But holy fuck what a slept on record
Hey man, I was relistening to this song and thought about your comment. I hope you're doing better with whatever you've been going through. I myself still think of her sometimes and have second thoughts, but I know that letting go was the best choice for both of us in the long run.

I went to High School with Mike. He is a fantastic human being and a man of conscience and dignity. He is also a great songwriter and artist.

MOMMY?MOMMY?MOMMY?MOMMY?MOMMY?MOMMY?MOMMY?MOMMY?MOMMY?

Beautiful. Thanks for posting.
I listen to this song (this version) repeatedly every New Year. This year wasn't different.
I love this song its like journeying through the self
Im from the u.s. but dont know korean but this song gives me reassurance and peace and makes me feel warm and proud.
