    wth, Intresting choice to run this pc with ur TV but I just dont see the point, 9590 was worst cpu in that whole line up it had no benefits over 8350 and just a bit faster than 8370e that only used 95W, but putting fx line aside there plenty intel i7 cpus 6th gen 7th for pennies that blows this cpu out on stock speeds without any oc required and so much less heat. When I heard this cpu goes for 100$ on ebay I though to myself maybe those stock was not sold out for so long that seller forgot that still selling these cpu, for 90$ I saw 1950 amd threadripper being sold in quite few places and that cpu has 16 cores and still 180w... still interesting video

    I have a problem with my 2015 jetta Se tsi 1.8 L. I was driving this morning and suddenly the check engine light was blinking and the traction control and EPC lights both came on. Everything I’ve been able to find online points toward replacing the engine coils and spark plugs. I had the spark plugs replaced about 1.5 years ago at a vw dealership. Do you think replacing the engine coils would resolve this issue? If I try this should I also replace the spark plugs even though they were replaced somewhat recently? cool this video comes at the right moment, i am rebuilding my fx system for server things, Video Coding, nas and for fun. and i have the sabertooth 2.0 Gen 3. But i am able to run the memory 32 GB @ 2400 Mhz on my FX8320 CPU. I still need the old cpu fan to make my setup complete, but then i can post some informations here. There are some scenarios where PCIe 3.0 does matter beside NVME. I used the board on linux and windows, and on linux folding @ home for example ran quicker using PCIe 3.0. (GPU Folding, CPU Folding is always faster as linux is more efficent with multithreaded Cpus) Today , i would think about NVENC Coding on GPU, where the cpu is pushing data towards the GPU as fast as possible, that might benefit, a bit, too. I will test it. I am glad i saw in your video, that there is an option with e modded bios to use nvme, ´cause that does matter A LOT at video coding! Thank you, great Video!

      The reason there’s only a handful of motherboards that can run the 9590 and 9530 is due to the power requirements of the processor. They basically took an 8350 and overclocked the heck out of it and jammed a bunch of voltage on it. as far as architecture goes, it’s terrible. But it can still get the job done. I’m working on a new series looking at Intel of the day and it is pretty fascinating what the LGA 1150 socket could do.

    I enjoyed the 3 videos of this series, as I've owned 3 computers with AMD cpus ranging from a phenom x4 9650, a fx 6300 (which I also learned how to overclock), a ryzen 5 2600, and today I own a ryzen 9 5900x. Why I say it was 3 computers is I'm still using the case I built the r5 2600 pc in, but everything except the fans and psu has been upgraded now. And along the way I've had my fair share of good and bad upgrading experiences. Upgrading gpus was interesting for me as I mostly play Minecraft, which is cpu intensive, but not multithreaded, which meant that cpu/gpu combos that would be balanced in other games, would be cpu bottlenecked in Minecraft because of Minecraft only using 1-3 cores heavily even while running shaders. Back when I was daily driving my fx 6300 PC, I've always wanted to know how upgrading the cpu to something like the fx 8350 would affect the performance of it, especially after I had upgrading the gpu in it to a r9 390 I was given by a online friend, but I opted not to spend 150$ on a obsolete CPU and happy I didn't even tho I was almost too curious to not do it.

    • @MereMortalsAttempt
      @MereMortalsAttempt 4 месяца назад

      Essentially what I saw was if you exclude lighting effects the 7900xtx just scaled the resolution up and handled it like a champ. But that would be expected for such a powerful graphics card. The issue with older computers like this one is the cpu… if the cpu is overwhelmed it won’t matter what video card you use the results are essentially the same. I would say the best value video card is the 6750 for this pc or other older computers. The 7900xtx is now in my AMD Ryzen 9 5950x pc. In that machine I can max out the GPU and the cpu still has plenty of power left over.

      In fact I did for a time. The Asus Sabertooth R3 is PCIE 2.0 and the hard drive runs at half the speed of my Sabertooth Gen3. The video card operates slower too. Despite what others say the gen3 is faster in every way.

      🙂 you prep the iso with rufus and make a jump drive and turn off all the check marks, or use an iso that is already pepared such as Tiny11 or Ghost Spectre, ive tried it both ways, works all the way back to Core2Duo

      Ebay is your friend.If you are patient you can pick up a 9590 for $100 bucks. That said, you can get a better chip made recently for that

      I just muscled them together. I thought maybe it was wrong at first, but it pushes together with a bit of force.

    My one and only SLI rig was woefully obsolete when I built it last year but it was fun to see just what an early SLI rig (2x7800GTX + C2X) could do. I've run a modern GPU with a C2Q. It is pointless but it works...sort of. About the most GPU you could reasonably throw at this without severe bottlenecking is like a 1080 Ti. Converted into 30 series terms, you're looking at a 3060, roughly speaking. I'm running a 3060 on Gen 3 with no issues. Of course, I have a 5600X which is a much more suitable CPU. However, I have run my 3060 with a 2600 (played Starfield on that) and, with overclocking, this FX will likely have a similar single thread score. Congrats on the BIOS mod. that's quite an accomplishment.

    I love madness. I usually don't go to that extend to buy/sell/buy/sell multiple components to achieve what you are after, but I usually pick up trash/old computers and try to get the second or third best CPU/RAM it can run and drop a GPU so that I can build another PC. Sadly, this way of doing things has let me to gather too much cases and mobos that I don't even know how to get rid of, haha. Anyway, a few of these PCs I got for cheap/free were AM2/3/+, but like you said, it was much cheaper to go intel, so the AMD mobos I have will probably end on the trash or second hand market for really cheap. Hope someone like you comes across and enjoys some old and slow AMD chip.
