I never miss a chance to listen to another's rendition of Clair de lune. Whether piano or harp. By far, this is the best performance done on the harp. And it's much harder to get across on the harp. Beautifully done! Bravo!

The catch about this melody is as Debussy said "Music is in the silence between the notes", you have to play it slow and it creates a bigger effect when the pauses are long.

I especially love hearing this song on the harp and I must say, this pace is my favorite. Some go too fast, but it really needs to be drawn out for full emotional effect.

I never try to compare, but sometimes it is good to hear other versions as well, made at different times, locations and instruments and of course players Here is the link to the harpist of the Wiener Philharmonic (since years) which is a very nice performance as well and she has the luck to play a lot of great performances several times a year. but it is recorded in a Radio/TV studio and you hear that the acoustics are different but a very great performance as well. So when you judged what is it that makes one recording better sounding then the other one, ...? Any how my taste goes more to the recording of the Wiener Philharmonic, which is a little bit more developped and balanced, i think she's somewhat older as well. And that judgement i did not make on the interpretation but more on how well every part is layed down and melt together and the quality stays very high from the beginning til the very last note.
