Learning how to Florida weave tomatoes. Also, a peak at the cutest new guys on the homestead.
Have you heard of the Florida weave for your tomato plants?? I had seen it, but never done it in my garden. It's a really simple concept, and I learned a couple of things this go round'. One is to not wrap your twine around your plants. Two is to keep your twine long when you go to tie it off on the post.

I just got done milking the cow, now it's time to filter the milk and chill it as quickly as possible. Doing so ensures the safest milk, and the best taste. LINKS IN THE COMMENTS!! SUBSCRIBE to see what else we can learn together!
How To Milk Your Cow By Hand
Просмотров 925Год назад
Today I'm going to show you how I milk my cow by hand. I'm no expert, but this routine works well for me and I want to share, in hopes maybe it can help someone else when they get THEIR first cow. I want to add, I normally do the iodine teat dip I showed in the video, but have been trying the Fight Bac because of her being prone to mastitis, I just failed to get it recorded. Let me know if you ...

Did you freeze it for 2 hours then refrigerate it? I’m confused. Thank you!

We always put the paper filter inside of the stainless one so it does t fall into the milk.

The stainless one keeps the paper one in place. 😊

Thank you ❤ When do you use the teat dip? I have the stuff in the spray bottle also fight bak or whatever it’s called but wonder if I should be using the dip also.

I had just been doing the fight bac instead of the teat dip. But after thus week I will resume doing the teat dip after milking.

@@bandedclovis6 do you mind me asking why your switching back? Also, are you calf sharing?

@Jamie N I was having trouble with her getting subclinical mastitis so I got the Fight bac to try. It says to use for 4 weeks on the bottle. I'm going for 2 and then reevaluate.

I really appreciate this! I learn best with visuals so I definitely needed this! My cow is a first freshner I purchased without a calf and the front two quarters still seem pretty round to me after quite a bit of milking. The rest are softer and definitely "floppy" for lack of a better word. Am I just not milking her out all the way? It still takes me FOREVER lol because I haven't milked in over a decade.
