I think so as well, and only thing I can think of is because in America they only made them from 97-99 with 97 being na from what info I’ve gathered
@swrvtech stock the 99 was a sub 6 second at 0-60 in a heavy sedan. Fantastic fuel mileage at any speed. The fuel o-rings need constant replacement, and the IP gets a little soft at an idle, which causes it to sound like an old tractor when it's warmed up. Getting the IP up to spec will make a much more enjoyable car and a real "sleeper" if you will.
@jomm5968 it’s a fully rebuilt and calibrated pump from benzforce with 8mm elements so it should be a rocket I hope. I drove my friends om606 with a 7.5mm pump turned way down and it pulled very hard

what fitting did you use for the clutch line directly off the master cylinder?
The hose itself is for a Camaro I think but I used oreilly website to search a line by the ends I needed and the length. It’s a factory spec line for the Camaro just upgraded steel

Where did you get motor mounts?
I used the factory rubber mounts, and fabricated the plates from them to the engine

Yes it did, so far zero smoke and the truck has 162k miles now

I have no data on horse power but it feels like more than double the factory power. Also my engine is fully rebuilt for reference of the beginning power.

Has it smoked since you fixed it? I had the tube replaced and it never fixed and was just wondering if what you did fixed the issue
It has not smoked one bit. Did they thoroughly clean the charge pipes and intercooler? If so you have other issues as well
Just wanted to give you a compliment that is a badass ride they don't make rides like that no more things as tough as an old German tank God bless have a good one
Thank you, it’s not mine but we did go and fix it. It’s basically a German tank as it has the om617 Mercedes turbo diesel engine swapped in it.
Do you need to prime the oil line at all before startup?
No need to, also no way to do so since the oil pump is belt driven off of the crank shaft. Just make sure to put a dab of oil on fittings before going in so the oil rings don’t tear.

Do the stud and nut need torquing?
Studs usually get snug then you torque the nut. I can’t remember the spec right off hand though
I just got these on Amazon for 99 each for the rears
I did the tsb twice once díy then the dealer. Still smokes. Took it back to dealer they couldn't figure it. They said might be the catch cans leaking. Next step is to clean the throttle. Switch to 5w40 oil. Last resort to swap the turbo
Did you clean out the charge pipe and intercooler? Switching to thicker oil is a bad idea as all the oil orifice are designed for 5w30 I believe.
You just changed the fittings not the hoses also correct?

I'm doing this right now and I didn't need to remove the fender liner and the stud and nut, with the right tool there is enough room to remove the oil tube.

I made the harness myself but you can buy one from boosted grey goose designs I think it is that is very simple and plugs in, I made mine using a diagram I found online I put the link in the comments on this video or my wiring video on it

Did you a get an alignment for the rear after replacing the struts? I’m wondering if rear alignments are a thing?
They are in independent suspension yes and yes we did get it corrected
Why do you need to replace the stud and the nut? Will these part numbers work for a 2016?
I’m not sure the 2016 falls into the tsb but the nut is a stove nut so it’s a one time use and the stud I’m not sure, I just followed directions honestly.
Nice build. the injection pump has a vacuum operated fuel shut off, it can be a real pain to remove/install but when it's working you just have to apply vacuum, can be done with a line to the cab that you just plug for the switch. I saw an astro van swap, where the guy used his thumb to on the vacuum line to kill the motor. edit: on this high compression motor you do want a battery of about 1000 CC amps especially in a freezing cold environment.
I have the factory vacuum pump so I ran the vacuum to the Alda over boost solenoid and then the other line to the fuel shut off, power wire ran to ignition so when ignition switch is on it holds vacuum back and when key is off it allows the vacuum to shut it off.
How many hp ? Looks nice wel done

Great video. Thank you for sharing. So useful! Two questions come to mind. 1) I understand your point about the leverage and tire pressure relevance with duals. Do you know if this machine was possibly driven with hubs submerged by going through water too deep? OR became stuck in deep muck and pulled out a day or days later (where water intrusion became possible)? 2) Where does the ultimate seal for axle housing fluid take place: Is it inboard at the case?...or outboard at the outer seal you replaced? Thanks again for walking through the video so well. 🙂
The deal outboard I replaced is the final seal, you can submerge it without issues and no problem at all. I’ve aired tires up all the way maybe 30 psi on the inners and outers and it can cross water way easier as it’ll somewhat float

The issue is the resonator, spd ran the whistle package without the stock resonator, just keep factory muffler

How is the drone.
Certain speeds it’s bad honestly, I have a stage 2 resonator I put in but it took a lot of the turbo sound out so I took it back out and just drive slower or faster to avoid it. Also if someone is in the back seat they can’t hear people in the front seat… have to let off the gas to talk lol

@@StephenM-zd5vw I have not but they also told me that my truck should not drone and the guy I talked to said he was the one driving the truck in the videos after they designed it and it never droned so they asked for a bunch of pictures of it installed to see if maybe the muffler broke inside or something
Better off removing oil vacum pump, the well and use the long pick. With curve on the end. Glue a small make up mirror or any small one. I have two daughters so plenty of little mirrors😂 . to the fire wall . Pop the click with long pick with a curve on the end. and use 19 mm and 30 minutes if it’s your first time. Good luck to all.
Does this work on OM60X engines as well?
Not that I have ever heard, you use a tool that goes into a port on the side to lock the pump when installing, or you can set it to the factory specs and look through the hole and a flat blade should be in the center of the hole, I believe dieselmeken has a video of it

If it’s moisture from condensation yes, it’s it’s a bunch of oil no.
