    Great video.. sudden death is not scary to me. I often about those deaths you see coming like when they tell you that you have a year to live or something. That would cause anxiety and depression.. and also growing old because u know it's coming.. im not religious but I know there's something up there behind the scenes running things🙂.. hopefully the other side is a nice place

  • @aj4909
    @aj4909 2 года назад

    I’m 17 but get really bad anxiety about death which is from depression and the loss of family members. Not much old age but the thought of death in general and that it can happen without notice is what really gets to me. But after hearing your input and thought of old age and death I do feel a lot better. Acceptance of the fact it’s inevitable and you can’t do anything about it should be just enough reason to not worry about what you simply can’t control, cause when it’s over you’ll never know.

    Hi Donald , It’s heart breaking to hear your thoughts and I tell you the reason why . I’m saying this in total love and value of you . I don’t know you but I will also tell you the reason why . Basically I’m 22 years old , I actually encountered Jesus in my bedroom 4 years ago . I didn’t follow a religion but did believe a higher god . Basically I saw all these videos on RUclips with people having encounters with god , also healings of pain and miracles - I was Intrigued . I asked jesus one night after a night mare I had to reveal himself to me and he did so quickly ! I randomly had a desire in my heart to go get a bible, I didn’t grow up in a Christian upbringing . Just had some ideas but never knew he was so tangible and real . I hear you but your understanding of god and Christianity is not the focus , It says that the Law in the Old Testament was put into place to show Israel what sin actually was . Israel failed over and over and over again throughout the Old Testament because they could never have a clean conscious and be right to a holy god . It says before the law was given , sin was reigning in our lives - our greatest ancestors Adam and even disobeyed gods and they spiritually died- through this all humanity has sinned - we are born with it . It says sin produces death and death has reigned all over humanity. It says we are naturally alienated from the life of god , our natural human minds are hostile to him . Basically the Old Testament all points to Jesus , it points us to have reconciliation with our loving , Heavenly Father . Please hang on with my here I understand it’s a lot and it’s crutical . I’m not trying to damn you wrong and condem you I just want you to see things clearly because I know him as truth and he has changed my life , I know him personally and have everlasting hope and i sooo desire for you to know him too and his goodness . I actually cried watching your video because I see his heart for you and I once was living without him but at the time I didn’t see that truth until a point in my life I seeked him and found him . You may have heard “ Jesus my saviour “ the cross but not understand the beauty of what he actually did because it has the power to renconile you to god , your purpose and the gift of eternal life . God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself , it says he was the exact image of the invisible god . He was the only one who never sinned where all humanity has yet god dwelt in Christ humbling himself as a man , he represented the father with his time on earth. He took upon the sin of all humanity ,so that we can have the free gift of rightouesness which makes us right with god ! A divine exchange of his wonderful mercy and love . The goodnews is Jesus came to make us alive to the father , it says eternal life is to know him , to set us free from death ! , to break the power of sin which enslaved humanity. He raised to life 3 days after his death and his resurrection demonstrates the reality of him being lord , the first born among many - so when we respond to his call it says we pass from death to life , made alive to god , we become A brand new creation restored to innocence again . God loves you and wants you so badly to know him ! It says and have also expierence this : when the spirit of god comes he will reveal all truth to you , and when he does it’s his witness in me , I didn’t come to Jesus because I could try live a better life , think it’s a good idea on my own or just decide to , his spirit empowers you and reveals truth to you ! Truth is reality but you are not seeing truth . You lived your whole life doing these things that every one does , but your true purpose was to know him and Jesus his son who he sent . The things in the world are temporary , but god is eternal , and we are created eternal, but not everyone passes into eternal life because they have not responded to Jesus gift , rightouesness , you don’t have to earn it it’s a gift ! Like a robe just pop it on by faith ! But people who don’t respond to him , our only saviour will die in their sins because sin produces death - eternally but god forgives and his grace will enable to turn back to him and turn from sin , he sees you as a lost son to come home and be found - the story of the prodigal son is his heart felt reaction when one comes to him ! He doesn’t count their wrongs and accuses , but he just delights to be with you . I encourage you to look it up . Ask him to reveal truth to you and he will cause he did to me and I just know him so tangibly - you must place your faith in him and trust in him . How can one know a persons thoughts expect that persons own spirit ? But god himself , his spirit will come and make his home in you and you know god and the truth ! He will lead you into the right path , from darkness to light ! I understand this is a lot , and you don’t believe at the moment , I just don’t want you getting anymore older in your life and find out on that day you stand before him and realise your whole life was lived without the purpose of you knowing him , he’ll is real but it’s not his desire to go there , he made a way to save us from death , but breaking its master SIN , but you will die in your sin forever if you don’t receive in faith his mercy and forgiveness . he never created you to live for yourself that’s part of the fallen nature we grew up in , but he can restore and only through Jesus his gift to us , out of his good pleasure and will . This is fulll on truth but I say it in total love for you ! It’s not to scare tactic, Christianity itsnt a walk on egg shells it’s a Amundant life reconcilied to our beautiful , kind father - eternal security , freedom from slavery to death and decay ! I love you brother !

    • @daniellelugg3815
      @daniellelugg3815 5 лет назад

      Sorry some spelling mistakes too : When I was saying how his spirit , god homeself reveals truth to you and you can know the deep things of god and know him ! The beauty of what Jesus did ! :) And when I said “ gods “ I meant god , Jesus is the truth about god and the truth About you . In genesis god says let us make man in our image , but we rebelled , so humanity lives a life enslaved to death and decay away from their entire purpose to be in union with him :) he resortes that it’s so beautiful ! Life abundant .

      The difference is that you are building a relationship with God through Christ while the old guy does not. He still carries with him his old life and way of thinking apart from any religious bond. He basically summarizes the ten commandments of love of God and of neighbor without giving emphasis on God first primarily. He's is simply a dying man's well-preserved secular views. Follow your Christian calling. Believe in relationship with God above all else and things will be easier for you to understand, good or bad. You're still young and yet already gifted with religious wisdom. Keep it up. Life is about relationship with God first then with neighbor. You'll never be mislead once you order your life in a true Christian fashion. Follow Christ as you carry your daily cross and you'll discover how wonderful life can be when you have faith in God. Not that problems get solved instantaneously but knowing, feeling and working with Christ makes life's difficulties more bearable and fulfilling.

    Really great thoughts... I've been thinking about this since my mother passed away less than 3 weeks ago. She was 64 and died of lung cancer complications - I really miss her. I'm 29 and all the people that I've grown with are now gone (mother, grandpa and grandma) except my sister. I am really afraid of death, to be honest. I am not religious or anything - my thinking is way too rational to believe in that thing - it's just the thought of being gone and as you said "to close the curtains" is really scary.. I don't know - I really hope there is something good after death though it sounds really unlikely to me.

    • @FlaqkoGTA
      @FlaqkoGTA 6 лет назад

      Katerichoka the way I get over that is to stop being selfish and be happy of what I have. You said you are 29. There are babies who die at the age of 2 days. 64 is young but there are kids with cancer also. Be happy you got to live with your grandparents and your parents and be happy you didn't die at the age of 5. At least YOU GET TO LIVE. Be happy :) you are healthy right. A death in the family sucks and I'm not telling you to get over it. Cry and remember your mother until the day you die. We all die and it's ok every person to ever exist will die. So yes the way I get over that is to stop thinking about living forever and be happy we get to live into our 80s and not 40s like hundreds of years ago.I am not scared of death I am however that it will be painful and or it would be before my kids grow up

      Wow, seeing this comment again is so crazy. 3 years huh. Well, the good news is I have a good job, a home with my partner and we're about to get engaged. The me who wrote that first comment would be so proud of me now. This made me cry - I guess the video really did help

    I enjoyed this video. Usually US expats are shown in the smaller towns. I just spent a month in Mexico City and being in my mid-60's I'm thinking of retiring there within the next year. Like you I prefer the big city but what is the social life like for an older person? Are there bars or cantinas that cater to the older crowd? Do you have a core group of friends and is it easy to make friends at our age there?

    Don, what is the best area to live in? I would like to spend my winters there. I speak English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese and there seem to be several nationalities living there. I would love to live where I can use all three languages. I am still listening but I haven't heard the area you live in yet but I will try to find the park you are talking about.

      Depends in what you are looking for, for me I prefer Mexico City. It is cosmopolitan. I like big cities and the weather is perfect, year round spring like weather. For a warm winter I recommend Oaxaca, lots of Americans, and it is inexpensive..
