The "flappy things" on the sides of the ammo pouches held fragmentary grenades. The fatigue pants were just that. No such thing as airborne fatigue pants. A corporal and a specialist 4 were the same pay grade; however, a corporal pushed troops.

You need to secure that Frag in your RH LC-2 pouch, the little 3/4" wide strap wraps overtop the safety lever, through the pull ring then snapped to the pouch wings. But you have the look, the Rangers were 18-20yrs old contrasted with SFOD-D Operators in their late 20's to mid early 30's.

Now in this photo on beach i see you chainged.phisicly strengthened veteran..who has seen war. Its been a look back week for me.i grew up in that time.ready to go.but it ended when i was a junior at 17. Sitting in history class somebody said the war ended. You need to lower your LBE belt below your vest not wear it on it but it can work still the way you have it.

The rifle is fine, it may be labeled as an A1 but since that is the A2 Carry handle all you would've had to done was change the handguards for an A2/A3 set and you would be good to go, other than getting an A2 stock without the QD sling point. Other than that this is pretty spot on.

Hello, I find your impression very pretty only I wanted to come back to two points. The first focuses on your pants. you need an M37 and not an M44 because they were used at the very end of the war or even post war and the 36th id did not wear any. The second point concerns your belt. Indeed, you need an od3 belt and not an od7, it was worn in 45 when the US troops approached the German border. The od3 belt was the most worn throughout the war and even if od7 belts were dated 43, so before the deployment of the 36th in France, they were not very successful. Even if these two pieces are not good for your uniform, they are perfect for your collection 😉

I've got a nice M42 jacket and pants but the size is just huge for me. I'm 6'0 tall, the jacket size is 38 and pants 30. The arms are a nice length but the "body" of the jacket is sooo big man. Same for the pants, the waist fits me just fine but the length of the legs is very long. Its quite sad because i'd like to make a complete outfit. Anyone know a shop where i can order sizes smaller than 30 or 38? Please let me know.
