Thanks so much for posting this, they look like the perfect set to start with! I'm actually a hooper but when it comes to fire, poi is so much more comfortable for me (which speaks to how annoying the wicks on hoops are seeing as I only know 4 or 5 poi tricks lol). How have they held up since you got them? And do you think they are sturdy enough to just practice with? Thanks!
I'm glad to have helped! Fire poi is super fun, I can imagine having the wicks of the hoop so close to your body can be a bit nerve wracking!! They've held up pretty well, I've only burned them four times since I got them and the wicks are still pretty perfect. The only downside of them is that they're so light that they feel a bit flimsy, they're not amazing for stalls or more complicated tricks (not that I'm able to do them anyway haha!), but they're really good for a cheap lil pair to play around with! I'm going to invest in some static fire poi from Juggling Calling in the next few months, I've heard they're the best to upgrade to! So yeah, in summary, this pair are great for simple weaves and general dancing around, but any tricks that require a bit of weight like stalls, stall chasers, stuff like that, they're not fantastic! But overall a brilliant first pair to get :) and also Lily is really nice to interact with, it's always nice to support nice people!
@@jovialsinning6555 The heat and sound is pretty intense on a hoop but the real issue is that you can't just grab it just anywhere like you can with a normal one; you have to be careful not to accidentally grab one of the 5 hot wicks! Anyways thanks so much for the feedback! This set is on my list for next toy to get! I just picked up a dragon staff from Etsy shop HoopyFroodHoops so I'll probably wait until I get a chance to play with that before I get them though! Happy spinning!
I've also only just noticed that it's HILARIOUS that it's out of focus and its BLUR HAHAHAHA amazing only top quality vids here on this channel where its just me screaming into the void and having a great time doing it
I just watched 13:59 seconds of your video. You totally tripped me out because I am the same way. I use buugeng, staff & poi. I dig both staff and buugeng flow. I am total beginner and trying to get my flow going.
Aw no way dude, that's class thanks for watching so long! I honestly just use RUclips as a data splurge, I never figured anyone would ever actually watch (especially not with the patience for a whole 13 minutes of me just messing around hahah) Big love to you brother, I'd love to see some of your flow!! The biggest thing is to just let go of your self and connect with the observer within, let that soul outta that cage dude! Hopefully see some of your stuff soon 😁

Slowly but surely! This was a couple of months ago, I passed the three rotation mark a couple days ago ! Definitely just a case of getting back on more times than falling off, I wouldn't say I have any prior balancing experience, just absolute determination!
YES!!. Never quit. Determination. Let's do the impossible!! Most people think riding a unicycle is impossible, and engineers/physicists cannot clearly explain the dynamics/control feedback. I also hate the definition of insanity = repeating same thing but wishing a difference outcome.
