I personally consider 18% as on the cusp of being ready to harvest. I am much more comfortable with 16-17% or lower as "definitely ready to harvest".

Question, have no idea about beekeeping and asking more as a curiosity than interest in becoming a beekeper, what woul happen if you put the top of the supra, the gathering part between the two main boxes as an incentive for the bees to use the supra? I mean have no idea about beekeeping beyond what i have seen in your videos XD

I find it fascinating that they can know the hydration level to prevent spoiling. I kind of want to watch a bee documentary now. Or one of those wildlife shows with the posh British gentleman telling me about bees 😂
