It's not a piece of Art it's a tool
Why would spend thousands & thousands for a tool that can do the same thing as a few $100
If you buy a hammer to hit nails and it's called a les Paul and I have another hammer that is a copy is the copy a fake As long as it hits the nail and does the same thing as the genuine it's the same tool
Dang Dude, cut back on your highs, bring up your mid and bass so it wont make my skull crack!!
No sound samples sir .... ?
Nice Halloween Trick or Treat Special finish! 😆
can you give me link where did you buy from?, it looks amazing I would love to have one as well.
"who really uses the middle position?"?? Tells me all I care to know about you and your, clear, lack of guitar knowledge.
Black sedan pulls up to his home, men in black suits and sunglasses get out of the car and state they are from Gibson Brands, Inc, LMFAO 8===D~
You got lucky apparently. All of my fret ends are sharp. It’s unplayable as it is.
Just unboxed mine - $139 from Korg in the swirl pattern. It seemed to tune up OK, but the fret edges are all so ragged it’s unplayable. I am going to file them down as a learning exercise- not a financial disaster if I don’t do it perfectly. I find the scale a bit tonight to play (cramped), even though I have smaller hands. But it would be great for a child. I’m getting pretty good tone considering (Delta King 12), but not as much punch as I might like. A fun little diversion- should be good for travel once I get the fret ends smoothed out.
....and the store is gone.
I think that one should save up for a Gibson before buying a Chibson. Once upgraded, a Chibson could be something to take out and bang around. There's nothing like the real deal though. Well who cares what I think. Probably nobody.
I have one of these. They are really fun to shred on. Three string arpeggios and scale runs galore. Just sayin'!
It was so good that the seller is gone.
can we actually change the neck with a longer one? i know it might totally hit the ground as fast as it could. but at least it would be as problematic ss this one right?
I have two Chibsons, a '59 re-issue LP Standard ("custom shop" lol) and an ES-345. After I set them up to my taste and changed the horrible strings that came with them, I would put them at a level of Epiphone quality at half the price. Not so surprising that they had Epiphone parts on them since Epiphone makes guitars in China (not so big secret, the Chinese Epiphone factory makes Gibsons that are then shipped to the USA for final inspection). I've let very experienced guitar players play them (without telling them they're Chibsons) and one guy actually said about the "custom shop" LP, "So that's what a $4000 guitar looks like".
That's a beautiful guitar. I have two Chibsons (LP Std and ES-345) and they are both keepers, structurally, but electronics are a bit muddy. Easily fixed. And you are spot on regarding the hardware, it is certainly Epiphone since there is an Epiphone factory in China owned by..... Gibson. As long as they are not sold to anyone as a genuine Gibson, I have no issues with Chibsons.
Good score
Nice guitar
I’ve gotten a few and they’re ok when they’re decently made. The components are trash and the frets may contain lead. Beware
That thing sounds awful!
Got a gorgeous cream SG with gold hardware, 3 pickups and vibrola (so it's a 63 re issue Les Paul custom) a few weeks ago, sadly the neck was cracked just under the headstock, seller was very helpful, quick to answer messages, he refunded £100 (i'm in Scotland), i repaired the crack with epoxy glue and it's been fine, plays excellent, stays in tune, nice low action out the box, looks stunning, have ordered a pair of Wilkinson Ceramic Humbuckers for it (the centre pickup is just for show really), as the bridge pickup sounds a bit weak. Despite the damage and repair i'm really pleased with it, would probably buy another Chibson.
9:01 all my loving 👍 great review, man, thanx a lot.
Beautiful guitar! Thanks for posting this. What seller did you use on AliExpress?
where can i order?
Rock On Bro, love the licks you played! Thats a nice sounding Les Paul. I have a real Gibson Les Paul Studio and bought a Chibson just out of curiosity, wanted something cheap so i dont worry about wear and tear but the Chibson is so nice that I think i Love it more than the studio. Fair play, China...Great instruments and affordable
Nice dye job!
Better than Gibson
Follow Up: Mine arrived. Guitar is great! Only issue is a big cosmetic problem area above the switch tip (Black splotchy area near the binding). Seller says it’s the grain but it appears they didn’t wipe the stain from the area prior to spraying the clear. Apart for the cosmetic problem, the guitar has almost perfect fit and action.
I bought a real Gibson lespaul tribute and it had sharp fretts all up and down the neck.
I just ordered this very guitar. I have always wanted a Custom and can’t afford the real thing, so we’ll give it a spin! Can’t go wrong with that price!
Sir, that sounds awful. Wow. Please don’t gig with that, trust me.
Thanks for the honest review. Personally I think at this point in time the logo and knockoff thing is silly, the makers should leave it blank or have an alternative. I think they sound great and are better than most of the sub $500 guitars that you can buy elsewhere.
A nice neat neat-looking and sounding guitar, at a great price. Good demo - thanks for uploading.
If I took a shot every time you said wow I'd be wasted that's impressive for a supposedly cheap Chinese copy.. I've seen video reviews of actual Gibson's where the owner was upset because of paint issues and stuff marks straight from the factory
8:25 - Speak for yourself; I use my Flying V to play in my Lawrence Welk cover band. KIDDING, Kidding. 😛
Gibson did “Chibson” to themselves, via their greed and price-gouging. And what’s beautiful is Chibson, Harley Benton etc have objectively proven that a plank with strings stapled to it doesn’t need to cost $20,000.
It gets the good raw rock sound one needs, so what’s so “horrible” about it, besides nothing.
How are you pal, not heard from you in a while ?
I really don't understand why? I just purchased a Les Paul Bourbon Burst Standard for my youngest son, because he's earned it by showing talent and an honest desire to play. He started on a budget Peavy acoustic that his older brother got one year for Christmas and he didn't have time or inclination to get into it at the time, so it turned into a handmedown. The Les Paul is simply amazing to hear and to look at with obvious craftsmanship and quality. As any caring parent can attest to, there is something magical in making your child SMILE 😃, honestly smile! And I thank God above for such a Blessing. When he opened up that case and laid eyes on it, magical. Thanks to everyone at Gibson for all they do in their work, it is greatly appreciated 🙏. My long story/short, buy the original, no matter how long you have to scrimp and save. It is worth the wait.
Grats on your first copyright strike, Steve. You have arrived!
I own 2 Chibsons; a Custom and a Standard, and I was going along with Steve until he claimed- with a straight face, JK, you could tell even he didn't believe what he was saying- that these things rival Epiphones in quality. 😂🤣😂🤣 I own an Epiphone 1959 and a Standard. They are light years better quality than my knock-offs. The 59 has Gibson pickups, CTS pots, and Switchcraft switching and jack. The Standard has Epi Burstbuckers, a beautiful finish and great playability. I like my black Chibson Custom, and it had good intonation and action when it arrived. I also put on new strings, which made a big difference. The finish is surprisingly good, and it sounds pretty good, but let's not get carried away. They're $250 guitars and you can tell. 🤘🏼
Eh, I've played those Inspired by Gibson 59's. You're way over selling them. The husk of the guitar in general isn't in any way superior to the typical shitty Chibson. Hardware and Electronics, sure. The rest? Nope. I'd never buy an Epiphone IBG when Gibson Tributes are selling for $8-900.
That sounds fucking horrible!!! Not sure if it the pickups or the dam amp !
Esta guitarra ya esta sur america y a un costo ascesible
We need a link to the seller !!!
My understanding is back when Gibson contracted China to make guitars for them built a few Gibson factories , years later when Gibson no longer had their guitars built by China, China still had Gibson factories , so they continued to make Gibsons in China , Thus Chibson.
Thr too often in Chibsons is vaneer
It looks beautiful
What do you mean you CANT play on 9s? Lol
