Just my opinion but I find passenger trains kind of boring. Also I would have been out of there after about 5 minutes of that banging expansion joint on the bridge.
I've waited over two hours on many occasions. Sometimes it pays off.
I've waited 6 hours just to find out they had the line temporarily shutdown lmao
It was outbound to Wachusett. This line doesn't go to Worcester. Don't know why I thought that lmao.. I was staring at a damn map haha 😅

It goes throught W. Chelmsford (where I used to live along the old B&M line. I miss living there and if I knew then what I know now, I would have never moved. I do get there ocassionally as my brother lives in the house where we grew up.

@@northeastrailwayproductions To put it simply It measures various horizontal and vertical parameters of the track in case there is something that needs to be addressed
"Haulin' ass"... Damn straight! lol I've seen NS fly through Chambersburg PA a few times. The rail lines are elevated through the city. Would have been part of the PA RR way back in the day. The bridges have dates on them from 1912-1914. Nine of the overpasses are concrete and one is steel.

Norfolk Southern will be sending 1 train/ day of double stacks to Ayer on this CSX owned line. It’s part of the contract when CSX bought Pan Am

Great after work treat to catch a train! I see a few red flakes on his truck. It is quite possible. Specifically if that was the same truck that was parked next to you the day before. Any cameras outside the store recording the parking lot by chance?
The cop measured the damage on my vehicle and on his and put it in the report that it all matched, but he couldn't say it was him because there were no witnesses and not of camera. Looks like I'm paying a deductible unless my insurance company decides to go after his insurance based on the officers' findings. I'm pissed. This guy is a pos customer who hit my truck and lied about it.
His truck was the ONLY truck to park next to me from 8 am when I got to work, to 12 pm when I went on lunch and noticed the damage. It was 100% him. When I asked him, he said he hit his wife's car, then changed his story that he hit something else and got all defensive, getting in my face when I was just talking.. I wasn't even accusing him... I was just telling him he was the only truck in the lot at that time, and he has the damage on his truck that lines up to a T with the damage done to my truck. He immediately goes on the defensive, yelling at me, coming up with all these stories of other things he's hit with his truck, showing me other dents from other things he hit and drove away from.

Yeah man, people suck. If you like hearing engines grumbling pulling a heavy load, you do need to go to Horseshoe Curve. Two, three engines in the lead, pulling 100+ loaded coal hoppers up the grade, a couple of helpers in the rear, yeah, that's some good grumbling going on. lol Thanks for the video.

Looking Good, Its all progress on a Rail line which was Bled of all its profit from the Previous owner. In a few years you will be watching double stacks there for sure. Keep us posted on the Progress Brother.

So, I heard from a very good source that the long term CSX plan is to bring double stack containers to Rigby and at some point Nashua and then eventually have a intermodal train come from New Brunswick.. however I have been told numerous times by a local RUclips rail fan that’s completely not possible because of the tunnel height in Worcester at the Hospital. But nowadays they can do double stack containers in wells and should be fine. Anyone hear anything more about this
@@hytorcdaved I believe You Information is very valid and don't forget the Racks, I Believe the issue's at the Worcester Tunnels is being worked out "Remember That's P+W Rail" So you would ultimately Have Ns Trains Running on CSX and P+W rails at the Junction = New bond Street To The CSX Boston Line at Union station = Will be interesting to see.
They're lowering the track everywhere. They're almost done here.

I will have to take a ride out there next Saturday and look at the work that’s going on for Double Stacks to happen soon. Plus hopefully see M426 go by heading toward Ayer at the Crossing.
The walls on both sides of that bridge look like there might have been two more bridges there at one time, maybe? It will be interesting to see how they do it. Keep us updated. Thanks!

The sign is a "Warning Sign" placed at least two (2) but not more than two and one-half (2 ½) miles from the beginning of the working limits on each end of work zones, used to alert crews that they either have to stop at the work zone stop board (placed at the limits of the work zone), or receive permission from the foreman in charge of the work zone to pass a stop boards.
Nice!, thanks for the info. They're working on the bridge about a mile down . I noticed the sign was temporary and it appeared outa nowhere one day. I know the neighbors have complained because one guy doesn't hit the horn at a crossing.. only at my crossing.. Basically he's relying on the flashing red lights to stop someone. I thought they had added a sign signaling him to lay on the horn lmao

I have the answer for u. M427 starts from Rigby Yard in South Portland, Maine and goes all the way to Selkirk Yard in Selkirk, NY. while M426 starts at Selkirk Yard and runs to Rigby Yard. Hope this helps answer your questions my friend. 👍👍👍👍
Awesome, I thought it went to Maine and NY but was unsure. I talked to an old timer who use to see the steam engines come through telling me they went to Maine. He saw old box cars and started telling me what the letters and numbers stood for because he worked on the railroad. I wish I had gotten him to sit down and talk on camera. When I was railfanning up at Horseshoe Curve a while back, I recall there being two to three engines on the front end and two SD-40's bringing up the rear moving 100+ cars. You'd later see those same SD-40's going back down the mountain to Altoona. Dang! I need to get back to railfanning. LOL
Ive always wanted to go to horseshoe curve.. I saw it on the map and was like "damn, that's a sharp a$$ turn. Is it open to watch them make the turn?.
@@northeastrailwayproductions It's open on certain days of the week and there is a fee to enter. You then can climb the zillion stairs (not exactly, but there are a lot. LOL) to the top or ride the funicular. Back when Pennsylvania RR operated it, there were four main lines. Today there are only three. I've captured one train going up and one coming down at the same time many of times. And on a few occasions, captured three trains at the same time. Amtrak also runs through there too. If I get the time, I should post some video clips of that. Back over ten years ago, the lead engines were NS. The helpers were Conrail. Would catch an occasional BNSF or UP engine. I believe now all the acquired Conrail engines are painted in the NS paint scheme. Yeah, if you get the time, you should go.
I believe that CSXT downgraded it to the "Fitchburg Running Track" a few years ago, and is under control of the North Framingham Yard master instead of the NC Dispatcher.
They cleaned it up pretty nice. M426 is going by right now as I'm sending this comment. Lol

I believe the sign warns the engineer that there is construction ahead. You are about 2 miles before the work site where the overhead bridge is going to be raised for double-stack container trains.
Makes sense. It just appeared one day.. I believe they put it up yesterday.

I've done it and slowly packed up... as soon as I was putting my camera away... defect detector goes off of the scanner lmao. I do it all the time.. "it's coming, I know it. "... the adrenaline rush though when you hear it coming off in the distance, makes waiting all that time worth it, lmao 🤣
