@@Wartgodz Not at all. Most of kettlebell training has to do with generating force and then controlling and redirecting that force. Takes a lot of strength to generate enough force to throw 70 lbs over your head 50-100 times, and even more to control it as it comes down towards the ground.
@Brandon_Kettlebell I'm 46 and a semi advanced lifter. If I want to continue to grow then I need the progressive overload I can only achieve with heavy weight at the gym. To keep the size I've accumulated over the years I can do that on my living room floor with calisthenics.
I don't really think your body minds a lot about the location? Maybe just exercise at all? It would help though if you got a place to exercise outside when possible I think.
@@marthijnz. totally true. I actually think the setting has to do with the equipment you need for your desired exercise, and the mindset. For me it’s easier to get in that mindset at the gym, outside I get distracted by the beautiful bird sounds etc
@Brandon_Kettlebell well, I guess there are worse things to get distracted by these days huh? Great stuff! Not exercising would probably be worse than exercising in the 'wrong setting' ;) Which reminds me, I do need to exercise more!!
@@InterlacedStudios1 Hey thanks for the Comment. You think they should be different to help with my Kettlebell Sport Training, specifically the Jerk exercise?
@ maybe just go a little bit lower to where your knee makes a 90 degree bend so you stretch your muscles more. I’m pretty new to exercises and stuff but from what I understand if you go lower it will help build your muscles more than going as low as you were going
@ You are absolutely correct!!! A bigger stretch will help with Hypertrophy. That’s just not the goal of this exercise in the context of Kettlebell Sport. Check out the Kettlebell Jerk event and you’ll see about the same knee bend, that’s what we are using this exercise to work on.
@@arielsupposedly That’s kinda true!!! We only use a quarter squat to simulate the Jerk exercise. Like everything on my page these exercises are to help with Kettlebell Sport Competition
You’re correct there is a ton of momentum. Of course she initially generated that momentum, then she has to brace her core/back to control that momentum before guiding the weight back to a full muscular stretch in the backswing then generating that force again to get the bell swinging again. Essentially she is having to use her entire body to control a weight that she actively tried to throw away from herself, then guide it back and do it again.
So competition style kettlebell like these are designed to all be the same size around, so they sit on your arms the same regardless of weight. They accomplish this by hollowing out the inside to get the desired weight. The heavier the bell the more filled the inside is.
Oh I am sure that’s not true. This is something you learn to do over time. I actually am working on a series that will help you build to this. Hopefully will be posting that stuff in January 😊
Arent you cheating by swinging the weights?

Genuine question, what does this help with? It looks like it’s just letting momentum take all of the movement
