Wuk lamat is the litteral worst character ever introduced in this game, she earns literally zero of the key stones, if it isnt for the warrior of light she wouldnt have even gotten to the point of finding a lama. Let alone catching it off screen, then interfering in our final fight to the point where the players can stop fucking fighting and she will finish the boss for you. Then theirs here terrible english va who played every emotion in the same tone the entire story happy, angry, sad he spoke in a flat tone because if he emoted he would loose the accent and stop sounding feminine. They coulda chose a female va that could emote the full range amd maintain the accent but nope. English is not a forgiving language where japanese va's can and do both voice both sex's english is not a language that allows for that.

I've said it in my lodestone blogs, where my in-depth DT reviews are written down, for posterity, that Dawntrail has good ideas it wants to present, however the way it goes about it is fundamentally flawed. Mainly due to the writing. The writing in this expansion has taken quite a bit of a nose dive compared to previous expansions. It's very long winded, cutscenes that would have taken a total of 2 minutes in the past are stretched to 8 with repetitive or redundant writing. And it's sometimes just down right nonsensical, eg. Y'shtola calls Wuk Lamat on her linkpearl to ask if you're despite the fact that you already have a linkpearl. The writing also is very straightforward, has a fondness for telling over showing what's happening and there is a distinct lack of clever, and thought provoking writing which I personally do not appreciate. And I think Wuk Lamat is just a terrible choice for a character that the story can focus on exclusively. She's a great character on paper with a great personality, but the way she is utilised is downright grating and insulting - to the point it makes our own characters' presence in the story supremely redundant. It makes no sense for us specifically to help her in the right of succession if any other warrior with passable combat skill could have accompanied Wuk Lamat and achieved the same results. Overall, my gripes with the story boil down to the overall writing quality and how that can be seen in the pacing - DT has the worst gameplay to cutscene ratio of all of the expansions.

I'm still of the mind that they should leave this stuff to the harder content and just keep the MSQ bosses easier.

How does DPS resolve the Absolute Authority mechanic after putting proximity markers. I put it in the corner and then immediately move towards a safe spot and i just explode before i get there. I have done the fight like 4 times and it happens every time, obviously im doing something wrong.

I dissagree on wuk but thats okay. And krille was a missed opportunity, not enough time given to her.

What's more important is to have a great time with people. Doing maps with people with no humor, acting like machines... it's boring as hell. I consider loot has a nice bonus. Is there more than one boss? I've reached the last room 4 times, it was always the same boss.
