How do ya like the gen5?
For some reason the Gen 5 is smoother than Gen 4. Don’t know why but it is. Still prefer finger grooves but Gen 4 grip is not as FAT as Gen 3 Thanks for watching. About to post a Gen 5 video. Didn’t shoot as well as Gen 4.

Honestly of those 3/4 brands you named its really, really hard to beat BCM. Their QC is as close to impeccable as you can get in the gun industry. Their product is very high quality and will last tens of thousands of rounds before needing to be re-barreled. Pat Rogers at one point had 40,000 rounds on the notorious "filthy 14". It's hard to call any particular brand "the best" because really the whole topic boils down to "what features do you want?" Do you want an ambi lower with a monolithic upper? If that's the gun you want/need then obviously LMT is the only option. But if you want a rifle you can legitimately bet your life on that won't break the bank and will hold up to rigorous use then BCM might be the best value. Especially if you go the tried and true bcm upper/aero lower route. There is one other brand that I think is very competitive with BCM in terms of value and that brand is Geissele. Geissele makes very high quality AR15s and if you get one on any major holiday you can get quite a good deal. My Geissele CHF/CL 12.5 groups better than any other chrome lined barrel I've ever owned and it is gassed very well to boot. I've owned AR15s/AR barrels from DD, Colt, PSA, BCM(multiple), Geissele, Criterion(multiple), Aero, S&W, Stag(before Aero owned them), Bushmaster, Rosco, etc. Geissele is making good barrels and for that matter good rifles and uppers. Eventually I'd like to get a KAC because I can really appreciate what Reed Knight did for small arms engineering. But as far as a rugged rifle that will work when you need it and stand the test of time...I like BCM and I like Geissele a lot. If you want the ambi stuff get a Griffin MK2 lower and then get a stripped Super Duty upper or a BCM upper and you will have yourself a good rifle.
Thanks for watching. Have to agree on BCM. It’s a great value for what you get. A hard use mil spec rifle. I have had them all and shot them all. KAC is not worth the money. Super duty is as smooth as KAC is not smoother. 1/2 the price. Better trigger. BCM 11.5 is the one I’m Grabbing if GOD forbid I needed it. Consider subscribing. More to come. Thanks

Church key for painting works well to remove stuck casings. I file them down on the sides and sharpen the edge a little to increase the grip on the edge if the casing

Had a few issues. 1st one the captured firing pin retaining pin broke. Annoying. Prefer non captured. LMT sent part. 2nd one the BOLT release paddle on left side was sticking very badly. Seemed out of spec to be honest. LMT sent new bolt catch and detent but no spring ? Strange. Replaced parts myself and it’s fine. For $3K I don’t think it’s worth it. Rifle is heavy and proprietary. If you’re a collector that’s a different story. If your a shooter and you like to swap out barrels BCG Etc then get a basic entry level Lmt And save some headaches as well as money. Hope that helps. I agree I run the same upper with a dot & magnifier. Had a 16” with LVPO. But once you put on full kit it becomes uncomfortable for a long time. However the 11.5 I can carry and transport all day no issues and it’s easier to shoot with a plate carrier & kit on

What do you mean ? It’s a steel match. You have to shoot stop plate last. The plates are set up a certain way. There is no plate 1 and 2.

This has heavy monolithic quad rail. Also 11.5 SBR. Super duty is 14.5 pinned welded. I would get the superduty. LMT heavier

LMT never offered to do repair. They offered to send parts. I was part of the interaction with LMT for him. So he did the repairs himself.
Hopefully changing out the bolt catch will correct that problem. LMT makes quality products.

Better than an SR15 for sure. Round count on meltdown torture test was almost triple. Geissele super duty every time, no questions asked. Best gas gun out there!

I have 2 KAC, 4 LMT's, 2 Q rifles, an HK MR556, 2 Colts, a SOLGW 13.7, 3 Noveske's and a Centurion. My 14.5 super duty is top 3 out of all of them for sure. Its def underrated

Everyone slowly but surely finally coming around to understanding the Geissele Super Duty is the best of the top tier AR15's. I chose the GSD over LMT, SOLGW, LWRCI, KAK and others. Geissele just mastered this platform

Thanks. I had it on the wrong gas setting. Want the guns fault. Today though I noticed the detent on piston rod where it meets longer rod fell out. My original PWS cracked extractor and piston head. Prefer DI guns. LWRCI ALSO Had issues. Thanks for watching. Consider subscribing
