I remember the first video you put up on RUclips of Ripley, you were a great friend to him in his hour of need brother.
Yep....know how you feel. I had to put down my Georgia Girl this last Labor Day weekend after 12 years. Yeah, bad deal. Vet bills will put you in the poor house now days, we spent a small fortune. I think it was from the dog food with ours. Saw a video on YT all about what they are putting in the food now. Our dog had all the symptoms they mentioned in the video. Slow process, sad ending. I remember when you got Ripley and saw how much you guys loved each other. Man's best friend. Sorry for your loss brother.
I'm truly sorry to hear about Ripley Brother. At least you have Frack! We lost our other cat this past September. Cat's are way easier to look after than dogs however a dog is truly man's best freind! I totally agree about vet bill's! Those people know how to charge!

RIP Ripley - YT dog. Went through the same thing last year. Ended up getting another dog then went into the hospital. Family took care of him for a month but he's back now. He's an escape artist but managed to find him so far. I gave away the dog food only to end up buying it again. Suggest you hold onto it for 6 months to see what happens.

Sup, you wizard! You think you got problems? I was trying to put on winter wheels and stripped lug nuts so I got pissed and started trying to chisel around the stud with a center punch. I hit it with a 3lbs sledge and it flew DIRECTLY into my eyeball!! Long story short almost lost my eye but 3 surgeries later I can see about 20/100 but it’s better than nothing, I guess. The doctor said it’s going to improve but will never be the same. Yeah. I fucking thought of killing myself. I swear. It’s like it’s one long fucking struggle, man. I drive for a living and now don’t know if I can/should. But yeah, there’s that. Finally got over my 3 year alcohol bender. July 17th. Finally started working and living again and this happened a month ago. Fucking sucks. But yeah, sometimes I’ll park my/car or bike for a while and come back and have weirdo problems. Like now, I checked my oil right before this happened and now checked it again and it’s almost empty. Fucking simulation is fucking with me. But yeah, still single, still depressed AF post divorce(3yrs) and still living in Chicago. Later, buddy. Nice seeing you. Merry Christmas. Be well, man.

@warhorse1956 yes it what the wife ride we have had 2 a 2015 and 2021 . the 2015 was big pain to change oil . The 2021 they made its little better. I Call them the Canadian Harley.
@@TheBlueBikeDoyle I had a guy here that had one. Mounted 2 rear tires for him in less then a year. He said it ate that tire for breakfast. I've never worked on one, this guy just brought me the wheel, to change the tire, since I have the machine for that.
@warhorse1956 that they do . We get about 11k to 12k we even tried put car tire on rear. It didn't last much longer . There not but one brand of tires for them .
@@TheBlueBikeDoyle Actually, that's not bad mileage. My guy put car ties on his, said they were cheaper. he brought his own tires and the wheel off the bike, so there wasn't any liability on my part.
Merry Christmas Brother! Yep the public has No idea what we trades go through to deliver quality service, they think we sit around pulling our pud thinking we think we are fooling them! @@warhorse1956 Still sketchy in certain areas but its the growth down there that is out of control. Nothing but luxury apartments and condos going up. Have to accommodate all the people from all the blue states moving there!! South Florida is Florida in name only hahahaha Ain't no natives down there!
@@thearch1tect249 It was inevitable, the place was turning to crap about 25 years ago. The same thing that happened to Broward county. I remember a time when driving down to Miami, there was a sign on I95 that read, " You are now leaving America". I'm starting to see it happening here now too. I fear there's no place left to run to.

While Replacing my Fuel Pump on my 2000 Grand Marquis I took a look under the car and noticed the Boots were torn on a couple of the Ball Joints. So I did what most guys do that Don't want to get Hosed by the Dealer and did a Search and found Your Awesome Video! Thanks for Showing me How to Save a Ton of Money! Steve.

So you can unbolt the compressor without having to vent the ac? Just moving the attached lines with the compressor after unbolting?
Yes, the comp. doesn't need to move much. Just enough to clear the sensor.

I wouldn't recommend it.
I just did this on a 97 4.6L. I did not have to jack up the car, or loosen belts/covers. I did it from the top in 10 minutes. LEAVE THE COILS AND THE COIL PACK ON. It does not help to remove them. It is very easy to change. Remove the power steering reservoir with 10mm (3 bolts) socket. Remove the sensor with an 8mm socket.

Hello Sir so for a new compressor job that comes with the bottle of oil do we add the oil to the compressor or the accumulator? The last compressor I replaced didn’t have an accumulator but the comp had a little oil pan so the oil was prefilled.
It sounds like you're in over your a head a bit here. Anytime you replace a compressor, you will need to replace the dryer/accumulator, and orifice tube. No ands, ifs or buts. The oil is distributed throughout the system. So lets say the system takes 16oz of oil, that means 10oz for compressor, 2oz for evap., 2 for condenser, 2oz for dryer/accumulator. That's considering the system has been flushed and is dry. If the new compressor is pre-loaded with oil, you will need to know with how much oil (and what kind). Over oiling will kill a compressor real fast. I hope that helps somewhat, good luck on your job.
@@warhorse1956yup I got you and it’s an actual kit to include the schrader valve cores so I’ll be replacing the one one the high pressure line as the accumulator already has one. So I watched another video and the guy poured the oil directly into the compressor which is what I’ve done on the other compressor I replaced on my scion xb but I think in your video you mentioned adding oil to the accumulator? I know the refrigerant carries the necessary oil throughout the system so that’s why I was asking. I do appreciate the reply though on this older video for sure
@@E85_STI Ok, so you have the HVAC experience, according to your other post. That's excellent, because you understand the workings of an A-C system. If you add all the oil to the compressor, you will need to rotate it about 20 full turns to purge the excess oil, to avoid hydro locking it. Hopefully your high side line will be below the compressor, if not the oil will just flow back into the compressor. Just make sure that the system isn't over, or under oiled. Figure that the Evap and condenser will have about 1oz of oil each, and the lines would likely hold 1-2oz. So therefore add that to what your installing now, to get total system capacity.
@@warhorse1956 so I ended up doing what you mentioned as I saw that also in a few other posts I did add some oil to the accumulator and I flushed the evap and luckily it came out clean so I threw in the new orifice and replaced the o rings and spring locks on the lines. I did put some oil in the compressor but not the capacity of the system as I don’t want it to hydro lock it like you said. Now my question because I have the compressor all bolted in and lines hooked up and on shop key pro since I have access because if my ASE courses it says total system capacity is 8 ounces does that seem right to you? I checked the sticker on the car and it only has refrigerant capacity not oil.
@@E85_STI Hmm, 8oz seems a bit low. However some systems don't require as much as they used to. (R12 compared to 134A). It also depends on the size of the system. I have the Alldata , which is factory derived work manuals. But I would scour the internet to confirm your specs before firing the car up with freon. There's been more then a few times where factory specs were wrong. If the consensus is 8oz, then so be it.
