First Extrusion Multiplier Test from ellis3dp.com with 3DJake ASA Silver at 300C to reach higher flowrates trough the Volcano CHT.4 Nozzle. After that I compare ASA at 300C out of the Box versus Dryed over Night. And at the End I tested printing .4LW .25Lh 825MM/S Cubic Infill with a requested flowrate of up to 79.61 in the Slicer and see if that works.

I have released the KRAKEN! The BTT Kraken with TMC2160s and 58V on the Motorsupply. As of right now I am limited to 2A RMS current on the AB motors due to heat generation, that will change as soon as I machine Metal motor mounts on my CNC. The Printed parts are covers for the DC side of the Meanwell UHP powersupplys.

Wow. It's actually isn't printing anything. Just shaking like crazy.
Its a macro by Andrew Ellis to test a 3D printers motion systems capabilitys and its aim is purely to find out Speed and Acceleration Limits.
Mesmerizing...
can you make me a set of xy joints for the voron micron?? i will pay you lol
Thanks for the Offer but i am just starting off with my CNC journey and that seams like too big of a step right now. Maybe you could upload step files to JLCCNC or a similar service and have them maschine the parts for you.
I'm curious about the config setting of the step driver, but if you don't mind, can I know the name of the motor you use and the setting of the tmc driver?
As of Now for XY I am using LDO 2504s(LDO Speedy Power) 58V@2.5A with a Kraken Controllboard that has build in TMC2160s. I am also using andrewmcgr klipper_tmc_autotune plugin. @@VaporizationEnt Thank you so much! I hope you have a very good day ☺️☺️
You use belt 6 or 9 mm for the AB Motor and with mod 4 motors AB ? Thanks
On my MPCNC I am using 10mm Gt2 Belts with 4 E3D Superwhopper Motors.
Double side tape ?
Yes, Correct.
AMAZING!
Awesome
The filming took me to 2005. Kinda missed the old days. Nice build
Thanks. I really like filming with a camcorder especially the optical Zoom.
So lucky
What printhead do u have? Can you share a link? And what probe do u use
Its called "Orbital Mantis" and is my own design based on "Mantis Dual 5015 Toolhead" by Long and StealthOrbiter by sneakytreesnake on Github. I am using the stock clicky probe from Longs repository. Currently it has no been published yet.
If you are still interested watch my latest Video, there is a Link in the discription to printables for the BETA release.
@@VaporizationEnt thank u sm man
what is the purpose of the x backer installed on top of the gantry besides adding weight?
That is a relic form a Time when I did not realise that yet. When I Got them the FEM simulations that thats decisions was based on were faulty.
@@VaporizationEnt Could you elaborate on the FEM simulations being wrong? Are there any articles or any other links to discussions about that? Also, what about the Y backers, are they still considered beneficial or just a gimmick?
@@MrGlibnes what i am refering to is a change in github.com/tanaes/whopping_Voron_mods/tree/main/extrusion_backers as far as I remember earlier simulation showed the backers to also work when on top of the gantry extrusion. That has changed since then. The Y Gantry Backers absolutly work well and as intended.
very...very, very very nice :)
4:00 looks like PA needs adjusting
Yep, I am still struggling with that at very high speeds. The Outer wall flow and therefore pressure in the Nozzle is way lower than on the other features. I think it would be ideal to have a dynamic PA value that changes based on speed or always a constant flowrate that has little change and tune PA for that.
@@VaporizationEnt There is some talk about dynamic PA on the klipper discord, haven't look in it. I find that PA is tuned best by trial and error.
@@3DPI67 Very Interesting, Thanks for the Suggestion.
How load is it would you say, can you be in the same room while its going 800mm/s?
Its not very loud but also not quiet either, being in the same room while printing is fine but I would not want to sleep next to it. It would be way more quiet at lower Accels and Square corner Velocity.
@@VaporizationEnt Thanks!
nice part cooling duct
Excellent quality at speed. That’s what I like to see. ASA is nice to print high speed!
Insane! Can you share how you keep the print stuck to the bed and prevent deformation due to cooling?
Thanks. I am using a decent Quality PEI Springsteelplate from LDO with the Bed at 110C and a Nevermore for Circulation with Filtering and heating of the Chamber Air. I let the Bed and the Printer heatsoak until the Chamber is close to 60C.The ASA from 3Djake has a Low tendency to warp and in a Hot Chamber almost none even with alot of Airflow as long as it is Hot Air. For the First Layer I use .25LH and 120% Extruison like Andrew from ellis3dp.com recommends.
Jesus crist my ender 3 is probably 20 times slower and 20 times louder😂😂
very quiet
Holy crap
insane quality for the speed!
is it evantis toolhead??
No but similar, like the Evantis its also based on the Mantis. My Design uses an Orbiter 2 instead of the sherpa mini on the Original Mantis thats why its called "Orbital Mantis"
How did you make the physical E Stop possible?
Tmc drivers have stallguard which lets u home without endstops, high chance he uses that.
The E Stop switch is hooked up to an Endstop Pin on the Kraken. And this is the Macro I found online: [gcode_button ESTOP_BUTTON] pin: KRAKEN:PC0 press_gcode: {action_emergency_stop("Emergency STOP was pressed, Powering Down!")}
@@idranoutof1d On my Voron 0 I do use sensorless homing but the 2.4 has endstops.
@@VaporizationEnt Great, Thanks for the reply!
I can't believe it
it looks unreal !!
that is incredibly quiet for how fast its moving
The TMC2160 Drivers and TMC autotune script are to thank for that!
@@lnfotron Its a Python Script by andrewmcgr on Github. Unlike real servo autotuning with a feedback loop, it only calculates values for most registers of TMC stepper motor drivers from a spreadsheet.
that wouldnt stand up to any real strength test i'd imagine. the infill is falling all over the place. but i will say the outside looks pretty clean for the speed!
Yes, I agree. I am working on that. The End-Goal is to print really fast and still have structual integrety for egineering parts.
How do you gi to 30k accel? Stepper motor drivers or/and 48v ?
Its Mainly the LDO 2504s @2A RMS. Currently im still running 24V on an Octopus with TMC 2209s. Because the 2209s are operating at their absolute Limit I will be switching to a BTT Kraken soon.
What is your setup? 350mm abd 48v awd?
As of right now: LDO 2504 XY Motors 24V @ 2A runcurrent, No AWD, Mantis Toolhead with Orbiter extruder, Ge5C bearings on the Gantry couplers, Light weight Alu X Beam and Ramalamas Idelers. There are more mods on the printer but they dont really effect printing performance as much.
ruclips.net/video/Bs2hrT7CjxM/видео.html
Check out the Celeritas
Looks like a nice Setup! I have also started Development on a CrossGantry Printer focused on high printing Speed, stay tuned for Updates on that.
@@VaporizationEntamazing
is it only me, or does the stepper motors sound like skipping steps ?
Minor step losses might be occuring as I am scraping at the limit of this setup, but the printed model functions as intended.
@@VaporizationEnt nice,im also planing to mage the zerog upgrade to an ender 5plus,i was thinking to use those stepper motors that have rotation sensors on them. In any case nice setup 😁🤜🤛
@@62arts Cool, hopefully closed-loop 3D printing systems will become more common in the future, that would be great.
Ender 3 have also asame capabilities
When it comes to speed yes, but I have jet to see an Ender 3 with a 350mm x 350mm x 300mm Heated 60+C chamber.
what are you doing to get so high chamber temps mine is at most 55 with 120 bed
I have put some insulation on both sides, top and back. I am running a Nevermore under the Bed and put heatsinks and fans on the XY Motors. The Active Motor cooling using fans contributes a lot to the overall chamber Tmp.
how are you achieving these speeds?
Its mostly the very light "Mantis" Toolhead in combination with LDO Speedy Power Motors (LDO 42STH48-2504AH) running at 24V 2A for X and Y.
nice! i start skipping steps around 400 mm/s, but I haven’t tried upgrading the motors yet. Thanks!
Does it really hit 700mms before start to decelerate?
Yes, watch my latest upload for proof
Are there any issues with printing ASA that quick?
The Parts that I have printed this fast all work well. With the Stealthburner I have run into some part cooling limitations for smaller parts and I had to increase Hotend Tmp from 250C to 265C to achieve the nessesary flow rates.
@VaporizationEnt have you considered the xol toolkit? It's supposed to have better cooling than the stealthburner.
