I bought this exact model brand new and still ride it. Came as a triple w 105/Tiagra mix. I upgraded to an Ultegra double drivetrain after a couple years. Mine is the gloss black/ silver color option. Great choice if you can find one now. Fast and sturdy but light as well. Zero issues with mine and I’ve ridden it thousands of miles

I just bought this frame in the rim brake version. Question: did you use/leave the plastic sleeves in place when routing the mechanical shifting cables through the frame and under the bottom bracket? Versus leaving them bare? I seen done both ways. Thanks.

I have same frameset and same groupset dura ace 9000 and is sitting at 7180g will get close to 7 with dura ace cassette and kmc SL chain

What's the frame rear clearance? 135mm or 130mm?

I got the exact same frameset with kysrium SL for 60 AUD yesterday. Great bikes but not worth much unfortunately. They ride amazing! IYKYK.

I did not know the caad8 had a threaded bottom bracket.

Couple of build pointers from someone whom has wrenched for pro teams over twenty years. A) Your hacksaw cutting blade cuts forward and rips on the draw back. Half-speed, level, intentional forward momentum and slight lift backwards. Use a carbon cutting blade. B) Open pinch bolts wider on the steer tube, never side to side wrenching down if you can help it. Slow and even. C) Do not grease stem clamp. Not good for the carbon bars nor the compression reliant stem facings. D) Chase the BB threads first. E) NEVER spin brake callipers on. F) Use a torque wrench G) Most important…NEVER NEVER write on a new Pegoretti paint job!!!!!
