if i study and understand how to do everything just in this video do you think i’ll pass the tsi? if not what more can i do to study to be able to pass?
It just depends on how you are able to transfer those skills to similar problems. Look at some examples on Mometrix and also look at the Lonestar College TSI I study guide. A student recently said they had a lot of quadratic equations, factoring, perimeter and area problems
Hi hope you see this comment! Is it one semester or two for the developmental course?
It's usually one semester. Some schools will actually pair it with your college level math and some have them separate. Once you pass the developmental course though, you are good to go!

@@sophilabmath also if I get placed into developmental can I take the TSI then for a better score and move onto next class? Tysm!
@@chakawaka_ No, you just have to take it that one time and can retake it before the class starts to try and place higher.
@@chakawaka_For the college I taught at, if you are already enrolled in the class, and retook it during that time you can test out, BUT you'll have to wait until the next semester or 8 week course to enroll in the next level. I would check with the school to see their method!

How did you get 16 ?
I substituted answer choice D into the equation where x is. Answer choice D is 4 and you have to apply the exponent to it first before working on any other part of the equation. 4*4=16 Does this help?

It's similar to the first 20 questions that are on there. I did see they have changed some of them up this year. Different geometry and graphing I believe.

How did you get the 18 tho? Did you just multiply 9(2)?
2:43 The 18 comes from simplifying the original answer after you multiply the 2 fractions together. We have to divide top and bottom by 2 to reduce to as much as possible.

ok so I feel like the only problem that I'm still confused on problem #8 only because I'm still not sure where we got the -2 from, on the problem from Accuplacer i have 3c+2s = 8.75 & 2c+4s = 8.50 and then i get stuck on what to do next.
