where to start 🤔 These UP SD70ACe units aren't the units you want to be operating on your line as there better known as THUNDER-CABS, what is a Thunder-cab. At the time well UP was in a rush to get the first ACe units delivered to them that they never fully tested these units, run them in by crews and find out their weaknesses before placing orders. What makes a thunder-cab is the missing the Black Rubber line that can be seen running around the front of the locomotive nose just behind the sand jacks that goes down to the frame, way is this Black Rubber so important, well that Black Rubber stops the unit from rattling, vibrating an or making any loud sounds while under-power. Train Crews stopped running these units only 2months after release because the ride was so uncomfortable that they started making crews sick. Reports that crews would never pass Notch 5 as the unit became more of a problem by sound, this Jointed Rail unit shares the same quality as the real-life units as they are super loud in-cab. Any other ACe units from other Railroads all have the Black Rubber Lining. All Union Pacific SD70ACe generation 1 units known as Thunder-Cabs are used to this day as DPU power only and are never Lead units. If you're going to buy this unit buy it for a Great DPU as that's what it is titled as now a days

They tick a box for everyone. That’s why they are on sale. Want to make model railways to your spec and home or fantasy? Then it’s Trainz. Want to drive realistic cabs with fully working interiors and announcements, dynamic weather, timetables that you can drive all day, scenarios and be able to walk about like a proper train driver, coupling trains, applying handbrakes, walking full length coaches, with AI trains by the dozen coming in and out stations. Then it’s TSW3/4 There’s a bit in them all for us. I will never pick one over the other that’s stupid. If your a train buff, you own them all for particular reasons. Don’t go on about cost etc. I’ve picked up hundreds of pounds of content for a £11 in sales. Trainz 22 is currently on sale for about £14 inc the PE. The thing that hurts Trainz is the crap 5KB/s on the DLS. There’s no need for archaic 56k modem speeds unless you pay up. No other does this. I’ve had Trainz 12 since 2001 -23 YEARS and it’s existed since then

Trainz was good for 2004 since 2010 édition. After trainz a new era i dont like. A lot of dlc. A lot of product created by community cant work After trainz 12... Trainz just good for create route. For simulation Train sim World are so better. Train simulator classic is so bad

i personally think rrmods content is better than jr. could give better examples.

Hey bud, great tutorial on this. I just got TS Classic and was trying to get the GEVO-12 Soundset to work. It didn't work the first time, so I did the 2nd process which was over-write it. It still hasn't fixed it. Got another solution? I've been trying to have this to work since about 2020.

I wouldn't call this New as Searchlight didn't build the model of the SD70ACu searchlight only formatted it so it could be used in Train Sim Classic while adding some new features. the model was first used in Trainz made for Trainz created by a user of Jointed Rail "NOT" searchlight. Yes Woody did have a hand in adding new switchable switches and buttons as well as the Real horn but other than that this model is over a year old NOT new only New to TSC. It's still a Nice locomotive better than anything else out there at the moment but isn't 100% accurate as there are things missing on said unit like the front windshield defroster stripe at the top of the window should be a line across the window with a small square box that warms the line. The SD70ACu CP version is 50x more realistic to NS SD70ACu in game going by Woody as he has modeled a lot of the interior to it as he drove the real unit himself making sure it was 100% legit. The game the Searchlight is working on more at the moment is SimRail as a New DLC for American Route that will have 100% all New modeled towns and city yards plus locomotives by Searchlight. Lot of key features you missed in play like the radio can be tuned as well as distance counter and EOTD.

Although, I do have one question. Where did you get these refrigerated cars from ( 6:04 )? I would really like to pull them on a train one day.

Trainz wins the content and ease of creation. Yet fails in physics and a decent sound engine.
