Why is it that in all the old westerns the docs office is always upstairs, when doc says, take him up to my office (which he says almost every show) it takes 5 guys to carry him up. Wouldn't it be easier if doc had a store front office. I'm just sayin

Gunsmoke is a once in a lifetime series that just stays with you your entire life. in 2024 many wish Mat Dillion could be president. The most honest, ethical, law man of his time. He would be a fresh breath or air to us all in our times. Festus would be the best Vice president. I am sure they would clean up this country and make it what it should be. Trump would be in jail, most of congress and the senate. Home owners would not be ripped apart with inflated land values simply to steal from them. Honest, fair and justice for all.

When they got rid of Chester, Festus became a better character, especially with Quint (Burt Reynolds). Dennis Weaver's character got stale. Ken Curtis would become a real co-star to James Arness.

I use to love the episodes when Festus and Quint (Burt Reynolds), would get involved in something. It was funny when Festus would call him "Comanche". The episode where the two of them went to Wichita to get the new bellows was a riot.
