    Thanks for the tutorial, much appreciated! How does one go about ensuring the Shaper peaks are synch'd to the accents of the drums?

    • @zwbuckley
      @zwbuckley 10 дней назад

      This is a great question! It requires a little bit of music theory math. So, if we set the grid size of Shaper to 16 and then set the rate to 1 then Shaper's grid essentially becomes a single measure of 4/4 subdivided into sixteenth notes. You can then look at your accent pattern and see on which sixteenth notes your accents fall and adjust shaper accordingly!

    I didn't get the A A A B 😅

    • @zwbuckley
      @zwbuckley 21 день назад

      Happy to explain! In the first instance it’s mentioned, there are two rhythms: A (one half note followed by two quarter notes) and B (a whole note). The four measure phrase uses an A A A B form because it repeats that first rhythm (A) 3x and the second rhythm (B) once. It’s just a way of categorizing and understanding what’s occurring 😊

    2:10 lost... text too small, and you could write down the chord down (in big text)

    • @zwbuckley
      @zwbuckley 22 дня назад

      The chord progression I am using in the example is Bm7 (B, D, F#, A) - Gmaj7 (G, B, D, F#) - A7 (A, C#, E, G) - F#m7 (F#, A, C#, E)

    • @ginsan7120
      @ginsan7120 20 дней назад

      you can also look at the piano roll. you dont need to read it to a.) match it up or b.) use music knowledge and know what the piano notes are c.) listen to the progression and put it in yourself (better for YOU and your ear so you can analyze music YOU like) or d.) put it on 1080p and read it (or listen to the chords he literally said) at 1:09. i think what he could have added explaining how the chords go smoothly into each other. It's because they have common notes. So he keeps the common notes from each chord unchanging to the next chord until he can't.

    The music industry these days. That cicada is doing so much heavy lifting, and probably didn't earn more than a cent or two. But for real, Thanks for sharing this resource, I love to see the process and all the work behind a song. Art can be consumed far far quicker than it can be created, and I think removing the curtain helps the rest of us not take it for granted.
