The Granite and Peridot are two different tents. Different height on the basin and different waterproof ratings.

I have the same brand in the lime green. My advice is to wash the sleeping bag (even when new) using Nikwax TechWash and Nikwax Down Proof (add it as a fabric softener) in a large commercial horizontal washing machine set to gentle wash. (Use a laundromat)Tumble Dry with 3 new tennis balls (to break up the clumps of wet down) and air dry setting. This will almost double the loft of the goose down and make it lots warmer in use. I washed 2 puffy coats + 3 sleeping bags all at once and it really made a big difference.

Do not use that lock anymore. Me and other youtubers can bake it and steal your bike. Buy a stronger kryptonite lock.

Hotel stay is the biggest exoense. Avoid holidays to keep your cost lower. By pass the bouy & go for Mile Marker 0 instead. Food is relative to what you buy. It's super easy to avoid Duval by using a parallel side street. Walking gets you to most places but yes bring good walking shies.

They don't have electric scooter rentals? I'd imagine bicycles are no longer the meta there.

The orange version (Granite) is very similar, but color is not the only difference. The Peridot's bathtub floor is substantially deeper. I find the very deep bathtub floor a little inconvenient when getting into and out of the tent. I leave my shoes outside of the inner, and the bathtub is so deep that I can't easily take my shoes on and off without bringing them into the tent. I'm happy with the Peridot, but I'd buy the Granite if I had it to do over. The deeper floor has other advantages though. Both are out of stock at Featherstone now anyway.

Ever since I bought the leather cover for the classic passport book, I’ve fallen in love with it. I started in the national capital region/ mid-Atlantic region and filled those sections all the way up with all the battlefield parks and national monuments. I’d highly recommend the collectors edition too

My one time visiting KW and this is what I learned traveling mostly solo after splitting a townhouse for 3 nights at a resort on the western side of the island just before the bridge to Stock Island. The resort is actually decent and quite affordable if sharing the rent. There is even a great little local bar there on property and after being out in the crowds all day it’s nice to relax in the ease of your resort. It’s The Coconut Mallory Resort And Marina. From there I stayed at NYAH (Not Your Average Hotel) and was in an all female shared room of 4 comfortable bunk beds with a shared bathroom in the room. You get a key to the room plus a decent size locker as well. You spend all your time outdoors anyways exploring and it is within walking distance to Duvall street, Sunset Mallory Square, The main harbor marina and I even walked to Fort Zackery in 15 minutes. You get a full continental breakfast every morning to fill your belly and fill up your water bottle at their water station. Also free coffee any time in the lobby. 3 decent pools & a jacuzzi plus you meet the coolest people also staying there from all over the globe. I paid on average $120 a night including the extra tax at time of checking in. Seriously you can visit KW on a budget. I bought my alcohol and cigarettes at Walgreens as needed and just enjoyed walking Duvall Street and treating myself as I saw fit with my budget. My favorite spot to be honest was Simonton Beach where all the locals go to enjoy the gulf side. Met so many locals from those who have retired there, to those who work in the hospitality industry to even the beach bums:) They are all uniquely beautiful souls living their lives in paradise! I even was blessed to have flown direct round trip from Indy to KW for $100 on Allegiant Airlines! Haha AND missed my flight home and figured out how to survive another 7 days without any reservations! Highly recommend NYAH, Coconut Mallory Resort & Marina and also rented an Airbnb sailboat by the Fresh Fish Market that came with bikes to ride around Stock Island on and even went back onto KW:) Where there is a will to visit, there is a way💪👁️🙌

I've been to Key West several times, planning is the key for hotels or B&Bs all accommodations...It's not really expensive to eat, the food is amazing and the chefs at top notch...you get what you pay for! It's a tourists area, plus the people who live there are sometimes working 2-3 jobs to afford rent. Without those workers, there is no Key West vacation. I will return in 2025!

I live in a city and never had a camping experience. Sometimes I watch these videos and just wonder, how do u find safe spots to go camping? I mean, u would want to go far from near citys and such. But at the same time u want to be close enough in case something happens, right?

Try giving a price range for stuff, whats expensive for you maybe normal for others on vacation, we spend anywhere from 40 to 200 dollars for lunch or dinner when on vacation.

Thank you for finally being someone on RUclips that shows close up visuals and discussion of parts, for the bike nerds, but also your subjective review of the quality and ride and why you think that (for normal people like me). The voiceover instead of text on the screen allows me to do other things, walk around, look at the links, be a busy adult, etc. I wouldn't have minded you giving some subjective opinions on a few more of the parts you mention, but "have never had a problem with it" and "quick", and "REI benefits", and "reliable", "leightweight", "good price", and "will not let you down" are so much more helpful than the reviews that just list parts on the bike, which you could see on the sales page, or ones that hyper-focus on things that nobody really cares about "I don't like the kickstand" or things that are not irrelevant but not really the priority of most people ("the gear change made a scary noise"). In summary, refreshing review.

Blahblahblah! I’ll never get my time back after watching this extremely repetitive video. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

Going for a week next month, reserved a table every night of the week at the nicer restaurants. My thing is, if I’m gonna spend thousands already, I’m gonna do the things I want to do and try my best not to worry about it

I've had this bag for years now and I absolutely love it. If you primarily camp in warm/cool weather this is perfect. I've taken it down to low 40s with a heavyweight base layer. That way i'm already wearing something warm when i crawl out of bed in the morning. I wouldnt even bother with the compression sack just stuff it in the bottom of your backpack.

Really nice review. Great job! I got this bag about 5 years ago and love it. It still lofts up well and the quality is great for the cost. I used it this weekend when the temperature got down to about 45F degrees. I was warm all night and used it like a quilt. I live in southern California so the weather doesn't usually get that cold. I use a Mountain Hardware down bag if I think I'm going to be in colder weather - below 40 degrees. I really like that it compresses to such a small size and weighing only 1 lb is great at keeping that base weight down.

Good video, but this exact lock was cut off with a grinder within 18 seconds. I’d step up to a more secure lock from Kryptonite or another brand. Depending on your use and cost of bike of course.

depending on how much you value your bike, i suggest spending a little more and getting an angle grinder “resistant” lock. that kryptonite lock will takes minutes to cut through. and don’t leave it out unattended like that.

Have friends that live in Key West. Have been going there since 1980. This woman is way off base. Mallory Square at sunset is still one of my favorite palaces. Rent a bike? No rent a car. Restaurants, frequent the ones the locals go to. They're affordable. I could go on and on. Take what she sys with a grain of salt. Do your own research.

I have been very happy with this tent. Camped numerous times in heavy rain/thunderstorm and stayed perfectly dry and tent was solid. Set up is easy and it's great that you can use the rainfly and ground cloth separately from the inner tent. It has been helpful when setting up and taking down in rain. It is heavier than some big outdoor name brands, but a solid backpacking tent for 1/4 of the price of those.

Good review, REI has a lot of nice bikes and Cannondale is a winner. I used to own a Montague, which served me well with it's build quality and ability to fold and stow away when needed.

I don’t recommend crushing wild hemlock. It can seep into your skin and you might inhale some of the vapors. Either way it will make you sick. I would only try to identify it visually

Big tourist trap. Streets are too narrow for the amount of traffic they have to handle. Lots of homelessness and poverty outside of the tourist areas. KW cops can be enthusiastic about enforcing the law where tourists are involved. There’s a saying in southern Florida: “Arrive on vacation, leave on probation.”
