So they still haven’t shut the side door as that was open on my visit, it seems they have partially fixed the High Pressure as it wasn’t working at all back in October. The brushes could definitely do with being replaced, I’ll have to revisit it soon.

How did they get the machine back in its normal position so your car could exit. Did they just manually put everything back to its original position and close it, or did they do something else?

I went to a christ alpha today in Sainsbury's Pinhoe, unfortunately had cones in front of it as the wash bay was completely flooded.

Usually these Morrisons M’Starts tend to do a good job, but this one could really benefit from a service as it’s in terrible condition. Touchwood I have never had any trouble with Morrisons’ M’Starts, but I feel like Morrisons & MFG are falling back a bit in regards to maintaining their assets, especially as some of their rollovers haven’t been cleaned for a while, thus making them look tired and grubby even though they are only around 4 years old. Bet you were well gutted after spending £10 on the platinum wash :/

Fantastic looking Morrisons Cadis, looks brand new. I just discovered another new Cadis at Morrisons Thamesmead, London with alternate green brushes, though it wasn't in service when i visited on Thursday :( but definitely a good one to check out next time you head that way.

I wouldn’t say that this system is that badly worn as such, but the gantry drives could definitely do with some attention as they sound very bad. From what I can see though, it appears that this Varius seems to have done a relatively decent job despite not sounding the very best. At least some improvements have been made since your last visit to Chingford!

Christ on a bike (no pun intended), I have never in my life seen a fault like that occur on an Alpha before! Worryingly, something tells me that these won’t last as long as the older generation of systems that they replaced.

Looks excellent, perfect performance by this Washtec and very fresh branding from Park Group as well.

The brush colours remind me of the old Wesumat SoftWashes BP used to use many years ago I wish they still existed, it’s a shame just how rare Wesumat systems have become nowadays.

Great to see a non-supermarket Christ system appear at a regular forecourt. A very unusual choice, but nicely specified! Just goes to show that supermarkets (especially Sainsbury’s) really need to do a lot better when it comes to keeping their Christ systems in good working order. If it wasn’t for this system being over 2 hours away from me, I’d happily try this one out 🫠

The sound like realy bad

I’m glad you got the chance to visit this GENIUS Vitesse as they are very rare in the UK which is unfortunate as they are brilliant compared to Sainsbury’s ones. I would like to visit this Car Wash soon but it’s over 2 hours from me as well! I have plans to visit Patrington Garage this month for the last working Ceccato Aries in the UK! I’m really looking forward to it but it will likely be the last long trip I do this year.

Those are strange failures, and just add to our concerns that the Alpha generation aren’t quite as reliable as the Varius generation.

This is realy big fail. I had the same situation when I was at this SilverLight at bp and in rinsing step machine say stop with out reasons. So I ran to the service and she started it.

Great video mate! Tomorrow I plan on revisiting the Christ Varius at Sainsbury’s Huntingdon, I do have a feeling it may be broken though as it’s spent more time closed than open. Next week I will revisit Shell Lincoln Rd for the EasyWash either on Tuesday or Thursday as I’ve only used it once. Thanks for sharing my video In the description!

It seems to be getting worse since I used it a couple months ago. When I used it there was more dirt on the car then before after the wash was finished. I plan on visiting the Genius in Haverhill to see if that one is any good.

Not sure why it’s worn or needs replaced exactly, will be regularly maintained I would imagine
