The starter should be shiny 2 seconds before the zig? I found a shiny zig and everywhere says different things - that the starter will be 2 seconds after the zig, 4 seconds after. Or 1 frame BEFORE. And then this one says 140 frames before.

Except instead of going for specific shinies I'll just hunt in routes with Pokemon I like and whatever shiny I find is what I'll use (provided I get no dupes) and I'll get a full shiny team eventually, like with Leafgreen. I only need Lapras to complete my shiny team in Leafgreen and after that I want to hunt Tepig in White. My shiny team in Leafgreen is as follows: Charizard, Golbat, Victreebel, Kadabra, Muk, Lapras (whenever I get that...)

Wow, I’m here after learning surskit is the rarest encounter in this gen. I was eight and caught a shiny surskit in ruby or sapphire (I had both). I’m unsure if it was a swarm, but I certainly wasn’t hunting for it. I caught my first shiny meowth in gen 2. But never ran into another shiny even after all the hours I played gen 4.

I wanted it in an ultra ball too, but after I got it down to 1HP i realized it had outrage which confuses itself so I had no choice but to use my master ball on it lol
