Great live version of this song! First time hearing it live!
This was possibly recorder on a smuggled in mono cassette recorder and that's why it sounds so bad. It is a good insight into this unrecognised classic song from the "Head On" album. BTO Rocks.
I love BTO to pieces, but they often don't sound quite as good live as they probably should. I always thought this song was a killer track. One of my favorites. What a delicious chord sequence! And there's the wonderful jazz influenced and yet still very hook-y solos. Really, a grand song. I never got to see them do this one live and I'm very grateful to have this one, even though it isn't as good sounding as it might have been. I saw them as often as they came near me, but only one of those shows sounded wonderful.

Lucky people who got to see this band Live in the 70's. That said...This is horrible! I absolutely LOVE the HEAD ON album,and to find the stand-out track LIVE made me very excited. But they are not doing a good job here.The guitar-solo is so beautiful on the record. His voice sounds winded and shot here. I find C.F to be the better singer,but I love Randy's tunes...! BUT not live...! Thanks for sharing..

THANK YOU! Even if the sound is rough, this is so much an underrated composition of BTO's. Amazingly crafty guitar ascend to a very melodic minor based middle leading to an almost jazz based chorus. Such a well written song that got criminal unrecognized. No doubt of the musicianship here..to the dislikes, care to post songs you've written?

Fitz was the bass player on Paper Money
Who's on bass? Church? Fitz? Or?
I think it's Fitz. The Electric was gone by the time they recorded Paper Money plus I see some keyboards off to the side and Fitz was both a bassist and a keyboardist.
