@@P-Dawg-01 You do realize that some people only have one car, right? That car maybe a ZL1 or ZL1 1LE or a Corvette for that matter. If that is the case, then luggage space matters. Obviously you never had a track day either. You need the room to carry stuff to the track. As far driving and blindspots goes, I think I am good after owning a C5 ZO6, C6 427 Convertible, ZL1 1LE, C7 ZO6, and now a C3 Corvette and C8 ZO6. I think I know blindspots when I see them.

I was not trying to attack you personally. There just seems to be constant complaints about the Camaro in general..... Doesn't have a lot of trunk space. It doesn't have great visibility. I am about to turn 50 and have just now after working the last 30 plus years of my life been able to afford my first sports car which my wife surprised me with in my garage a year and a half ago which is my 21 Camaro ZL1. A camaro is a sports car. I guess for me it goes without saying that if you buy a sports car it is going to come with a few downfalls which you should expect. Some people complain about the amount of plastic used in the interior. It is a reasonably priced sports car (to some) that doesn't cost multiple millions of dollars so yeah....probably not going to have the same materials used in Lamborghini. And yes I have not done track days but I would think that the size of the opening of the trunk is not going to be the main limiter. You would probably need more stuff than would fit in the trunk regardless. Don't plan on tracking mine because I just enjoy driving it and getting into the accelerator here and there. But again, I was not directing that comment towards you personally, just some that have had these complaints in general. I am happy for you that you have been blessed enough to be able to afford all the vehicles you have and had the opportunity to enjoy driving them.

Great write up! Funny story, my first experience with an Camaro was at a Nashville airport on my way to Bowling Green. I rented a SS for the commute and found out about the luggage space..lol! The trunk itself is good, but the opening well could have been designed better. I love the Camaro, and wish I still had it. My Dad passed last year and left me with a 81 C10 project. I made the decision to go with the C8 ZO6 and sell both the C7 ZO6 and ZL1 1LE to make space for the C10. I’m not much younger than you at 45, so I will tell it is definitely an accomplishment to own a ZL1. Making a car review is hard, because everyone needs are different. I just wanted to point out the difference just in case someone cares…lol! It is a great car and again great write up.

@@TheCvp33 We are the same…lol! I traded both for a 24 ZO6. I love the car, but I don’t know, I do miss the torque and stick shift.

That is tough! A C3 would stand out more due it being a classic. However, you have to be pretty good with fixing things as older cars have more repairs that needs to be done. I vote C7 as you can spend more time enjoying it than wrenching on it.

I ordered a manual but ended up with automatic, soooo happy with the transmission.

@shadow052001 the automatic is not bad at all. But the feeling of being connected to the car with the manual. Is a different feeling. But cheers either way. It's an amazing car and I love it

@@willjeepforfood, I don’t think it’s about not being able to afford a Corvette, the Corvette has a rather big compromise like not carrying more than two people. The ZL1 1LE was 8/9ths the car the C7 ZO6 was! Matter of fact, the ZL1 did not overheat while the ZO6 did. I would argue the Black-wing is a great substitute for the Corvette as well. For reference I have owned a C5 ZO6, C6 427, C7 ZO6, and now a C8 ZO6. The ZL1 1LE is just as good as any of them.

This is something a child would say, just saying.

I haven’t had that issue so far. I had the top off a couple of times with no issues.

Thank you! You are right! I had them on the C7 ZO6 and they were great. However due to budget, I had to pick between CC brakes and the 3LZ interior package including the Carbon Fiber One package. I chose to interior upgrade vs the brakes. I had 2LZ on the C7 ZO6.

By the way, you chose the right wheels! I have the same ones on my 2024! They look absolutely lovely

It will happen! Plus, you have a very nice car with the Stingray. It took a lot to get me out of my C7 ZO6 and ZL1 1LE, but the C8 ZO6 definitely right up there on the fun factor based on sound alone. I do miss my manuals, but DCT so far has been flawless.

@@thecarpergarage916 Yeah I know what you mean, I had a manual 370z. Loved to rev match that thing on a down shift. But, I am looking forward to tracking my Stingray one day.

I had a 6 speed 2019 ZL1 1LE and a 7 speed C7 ZO6 at the same time. Now, 2024 C8 ZO6. The C8 ZR1 will be bonkers!

Good idea! It’s been so hot in Houston that I haven’t dared do that in the morning or evening. AC has been working OT. I definitely will do that. I also know with the C7 ZO6, that taking the top off lead to squeaking from the targa top.

@@alexander_3923 define good…lol! They will fit, but good not so much. Small kids yes! Another reason is the six speed is better than the seven speed and lastly you get an actual supercharger whine from the supercharger on ZL. The ZO is simply in your face exhaust sound. .

@@thecarpergarage916 ok got it lol cause i have a challenger scatpack and the backseats are pretty good an adult can fit comfortable so im wondering if the camaro is similar lol but i doubt it because the challenger is a bigger car

@@andyl9920 yes, they look really good, but keep your OEM’s taillights for safety inspection as these are DOT approved, but inspector still failed it. I took them off, put OEM back on, pass inspection and put these back on until next inspection.

I went with MPI, because I already had their lid for my white C7 ZO6. I was very happy with their product! I heard good things about DSX as well.

@@I-di-nt-do-nuff-in- Lol, I rented one before buying the ZL1 1LE, you can’t even put a suitcase in the trunk. I pulled a muscle trying to do so. Good to know about the trunk, sadly, I sold both cars when my Dad passed away. I have a C8 ZO6 now and yes that one is worse on storage space..lol!

@@I-di-nt-do-nuff-in- it’s not fragile, it just over goes into limp mode at certain temperatures and really running the car. I never had any issues with mine at all and I had fun with it. It only went into limp mode once. It was over 100 degrees outside and I will running the car.
