Riding Recap Ep. 1 [BUY BUILD RIDE]
Просмотров 1635 лет назад
I have had the privilege to be able to ride in a variety of locations, and I am sharing some these places in a series of videos called "Riding Recap". This video includes a variety of clips from my 2017 Adventures. My Dad and brothers came along for the ride at Bundy Hill, and it was my youngest bro Josh who flipped his KTM. From the Desert of southern Utah, to the woods of Southern Michigan, a...

A Motocross Adventure - Dutchmen MX Park [BUY BUILD RIDE]
Просмотров 1,8 тыс.7 лет назад
With the DR650 and the XR400 loaded up on the trailer, we head to Dutchmen MX Park in Pine Grove, PA for some good old motocross style riding. The smaller beginners track was a great warm up with some nice sized jumps, but the ground was packed quite hard. The larger full sized track was quite the opposite. It was quite a blast ripping around both tracks. This place will definitely have to beco...

How to Install a Jet Kit on a Suzuki DR650 [BUY-BUILD-RIDE]
Просмотров 27 тыс.7 лет назад
EP01 Installing a Jet Kit on a Suzuki DR650 In this video we show you how you can install a Jet Kit. In this case we did it on our 1995 Suzuki DR650, but the principles can be applied to other applications as well. Here's where we purchased our kit from - procycle.us/bikepages/dr650.html (This video was not sponsored by Procycle) Have any questions? Drop a comment below and we'll make sure to a...
Filmed through binoculars
i legit picked mine up for $100
Maybe next time lay the parts down and explain instead of spinning them around like a helicopter. Looks pretty easy tho
Amazing video. I have a hard time finding a video on how to install electric starter on my Suzuki dr 650 1994. Can you guys help me out, do you know all the parts I need for this conversion, and how would this work with the decompression valve? Can you direct me to where I can find this information? Keep on the great work! God bless
Is a 5 y vid indeed but the bikes still exist and tuning the carb is no easy job due to the adjustable pilot screw underneath it. Your vid does not say anything about that, just seized this and that. No followup vid to see it ride.... This should be down the list
Float o-rings? I didn’t see this step
How is it riding non mx bikes there? Thinking about ripping my kdx there but don't want to be lagging the whole place down. We're you getting pushed on the big course or was there an open practice time?
Bought one a couple of days ago, barely know how to ride. I love the look and how it feels. It does have sum carb problems but once those are fixed then I’m very very excited to get out on it
Good luck hope all is well. -fellow nx owner
beatifull video thankyou ....i just got drunk wth the focus up and down
Stupid question; does the kit tell you what jets to use for each mod? I plan on doing a DG slip on and K&N filter.
I'd really like to watch this vid, but all that back and forth blur makes me feel like I have one old contact and a current contact in. Someone needs to do a replacement vid. This one's giving me a headache. I'm outa here.
You forgot to explain how to drill the diaphragm and holes in top of air box as per pro cycle kit ,
Good information but the camera work leaves the video unwatchable.
Horrible focus issues! While you are there drill the slide and cut down the spring to 100mm (4inches)
Thanks for the carb removal walk-through! I picked up my NX here in January. Excited to get it cleaned up and running better!
Can you please help and provide some details and instructions for Vermont title I am in the same boat bought a drz 400 2001 and now want to convert it to street legal
Dont start flying paramotors cause you'll sell all your dirtbikes lol :)
What area (generally) are you guys living in PA? I saw your video where you were at Ricketts Glenn. I live in the area. I'd totally be down to ride or work on bikes with you guys.
I'm in Pennsylvania and this is exactly what I am in the middle of doing!!!
i found mine for $1500 AUD In way better condition. the deals are definitely out there
How’s the build going?
The bike is finished and working well. Hoping to get up more videos soon but want to keep riding to build up footage for the winter months. Keep an eye out for another video soon
@@BuyBuildRide Hey... I found this awesome video. You were going to rebuild a DRZ, the epic bike. Why you did not sent more videos... You add serious good ideas.
Nice focusing.
When's the finished video coming? Does the drze come with a break switch stock?
Hopefully soon, our day jobs have been keeping us from editing. Hopefully will have the next video out soon. This stock drz-e did not come with a brake switch. We did install a pressure switch on the rear brake.
Plans on doing the front as well? Having trouble figuring out a solution
@@Bryce01650 best option is the tusk brake switch, it is a pressure switch that replaces the banjo bolt.
Did you ever do the follow up vid? Can’t find it if you did. Please provide the link if so... thanks
so who has a pre-1996 DR650? you guys are irrrrrrrelllllevant!
Except it has the same carb as the current generation dr
Harald Glass Ummmm, I have a 1995 DR 650. So it is relevant. Perhaps it is you that is not relevant.
I have a 1995 DR650SE, the same exact model that's in this video.
Man that Vermont trick is pretty rad! Good workaround for a lot of folks! I'm stoked to see what you do with it!
This is the second bike we have done this with too! The other one had an orv title and Vermont still issued the plate. And thanks! It is a fun build that will hopefully keep going after this series is over (maybe a camping trip)
I have a 1999 Suzuki 650 DR motorcycle and I had not ran the bike for a year (surgery), the bike did not start and I drained the gas tank and put new gas in it, I also installed a new pilot jet (150) in the carb. the bike did not start, it is getting spark but it tried to start but failed. is there anything else I can try to look at to make sure the carb is working correctly. thank you.
Confirm that you have your idle screw set to the correct position and that you don't have an inline filter that is clogged
You guys obviously know about bikes now you just have to spend some more time on the camera work.
yeah, the constant blurry and out of focus, and back to focus and out of focus again, that makes your stomach sick..:-) otherwise, good video
Actually, the carb. will come out the left side without removing the filter box. The filter box mounting holes are slotted and you have to slide the box all the way back.
I just saw this after I answered above. Yes. This.
Just bought a 1990 Nx 250 having trouble finding a coolant reservoir any suggestions ?
I have found that checking eBay for listings in Asia has been the best option for finding parts, we replaced the rear fender that way.
@@BuyBuildRide Ive been looking in Europe but I'll give the Asian route a try thank you
As long as you are willing to wait for shipping you should have good luck the nx bikes are still kicking in those markets
Aftermarket options, motion pro, or jb welded oem
Nice video...subbbed 🔥
Love having a motorbike instructional video without super loud metal or dance music in the backgound. Good choice on the genre and volume. Though I do agree with other posters that the camera work got a little uncomfortable. Either way, keep up the good work and you guys will get popularz.
It wasn't the best time to try a new camera lenses. And I agree on the crazy music, doesn't help someone concentrate on the work at hand.
I find an additional jet under the floats. Did you take off the floats to clean or replace it, or was that step not needed?
Its a pilot jet. I recommend to clean it also if its removable. It has a smallest hole on it and any dirt will glog this hole easily.
Thanks. Very informative. Love the little detailed comments, eg: using a JIS screwdriver or getting the air/fuel mixture needle extra clean before reassembly. If I may make one critique: the in/out of focus camera work was nauseating. Maybe a new camera or holding the subject still would help. Nevertheless, great job!
Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately we had just picked up a new lense that was giving us issues. Fortunately we have remedied it for future episodes
Those bikes are so unique... The carburetor removal looked like a nightmare!
The NX was 15 years to early. If Honda manufactured this motorcycle today they would not be able to keep them in stock. The carb was another story, it took alot longer than i thought it was going to. I am amazed though how well it is designed though they clearly put alot of thought into it back in 1988
Buy Build Ride this is really awesome. i just bought one, picking it up tomorrow, I'd love to see more videos on this bike or info, thanks guys!!!!!
Don't worry, we've got several more videos in the works for this bike, which will hopefully be out soon!
Does any know where I can get a rebuild kit for this bike
A carb rebuild kit
Did you have to adjust it after putting the adjusted carb in?
Also, how many hours did the full installation take?
I had to adjust the idle screw another half turn out as it was running lean at idle. Also it took about 1 hour to complete.
Cool, thanks
Thanks for the video. I'm thinking of installing the same ProCycle jet kit and extended fuel screw on my 2015 DR650. This will be my first time working on a carburetor so maybe between this video and the provided instructions hopefully I can get the kit installed and tuned.
It is a fairly straight forward mod. The key is to take your time and be patient. If you have any questions while doing it feel free to ask.
