Can only carry so much and they constantly get distracted if there's items on the ground. I just built chests near harvesting sites and they automatically deposit what they have and carry on.

yea mine do that aswell, i saw recent plans and i hope fixing ai bugs and pathfinding will be soon. this mostly happends to thoes penguins guys too, like if they had different ai versions lmao

In the end it's all about RNG luck. My friend didn't even look for one. He already had more than ten from GO. Yet somehow he ran into random Swablu while hunting for another species. His luck for Lokix is even better, though. Always running into one on the way from one spot to the next that he got tired of them. 😅

Another way to tell is that your Let's Go Pokemon will refuse to attack a shiny.
