Longs Peak Ave. Railroad Crossing, Longmont, CO
Просмотров 664 часа назад
After we got the LAUDEN in Campion, we continued down to Longmont, where we would catch it again, this time with @WillTheTrain. I almost missed the activation as we had no idea that the train was as close as it was, so I had about five seconds to spare. Thankfully, no changes have occurred to this crossing since I last filmed it in May 2023. However, conduit has been put in here and a new relay...
42nd Ave. Railroad Crossing, Campion, CO

After we got the LAUDEN at Garfield in Loveland, we wanted to see if it was possible to chase it to Campion. Sure enough, it was very much possible as it was a somewhat slow and short train and even had like a minute to spare. This crossing appears to be a 100% original 90's BN install, complete with a pair of WCH mechanical bells. This crossing might as well be the oldest one on the Front Rang...
Garfield Ave. Railroad Crossing, Loveland, CO

After we got the LAUDEN in Fort Collins, we began to chase it south. We first pulled into Loveland and got to this crossing, as it had a mechanical bell. Soon, they showed up after five minutes of waiting. This crossing is a very classic 90's BN install that is nearly 100% original, outside of the gate lights. This crossing is also rather long, as the tracks cross at a weird angle. The distance...
Oak Street Railroad Crossing, Fort Collins, CO with ASC Type 1's!
Просмотров 1977 часов назад
After we got the UP local, we heard that there was a southbound OCS on it's way down the Front Range Sub. We also heard about a LAUDEN leaving Cheyenne. We cut over to Fort Collins and went over to Oak Street to catch it, with the plan of chasing it south to either Longmont or Broomfield. Soon, they showed up and the leader had a fouled horn that sounded like an RS3L from a distance, which was ...

Probably the weirdest change I’ve ever seen besides the reused GS Type 1 in Westminster. Filmed: 06-24-24 Instagram: plyingkibbles89 Bluesky: bsky.app/profile/plyingkibbles89.bsky.social Discord Server: discord.com/invite/nthvJuktyz Flickr: flickr.com/photos/194924897@N05/
22nd Street Railroad Crossing, Greeley, CO

After we got the MNYGR in Evans, we continued on to Greeley. We went to 22nd Street, as I needed to get a better video of the crossing. After we got there, we waited around 20 minutes for the 04 local to show up. Soon, they showed up with a SD40N and SD70M paired together! This crossing has seen a rather interesting change since the last time I was here. The dead GS e-bell was replaced with a r...

After we got the MNYGR at 136th, we started to chase it north up the Greeley. We chased it to Evans. I stayed at 42nd while Porter and Andrew went to 39th. Porter ended up leaving his second camcorder with me as well. Soon, the train showed up after around 15 minutes of waiting. This crossing is a pretty special one, being a 70's UP install that has almost all Federal Signal equipment, save for...

After we got 56th #2, we heard that the MNYGR was leaving Denver. We drove up to 136th near Brighton to be able to catch it. After about five minutes, they showed up. Thankfully, this crossing hasn't seen any changes since I last filmed it in April 2022. Locomotives: -UP 7746 (GE AC45CCTE) Flag -UP 8402 (EMD SD70ACe) Flag -UP 6640 (GE AC44CW) Flag Location: 136th Ave. #2 (near Brighton, CO) Tra...

After we got the BNSF manifest, we knew that the light power would be already cleared over the diamond. We quickly raced to 56th Avenue #2 and got set up with like ten seconds to spare. This crossing hasn't changed since I last filmed it in June 2023. Locomotives: -UP 1905 (EMD SD40N) Letters Location: 56th Ave. #2 (Commerce City, CO) Trains: UP Light Power (Symbol Unknown) Signal on the right:...
56th Ave. #1 Railroad Crossing, Commerce City, CO with New Signals!

After we got the UP light engine at 64th, we moved to 56th #1, as we heard that a BNSF manifest was getting close to Sand Creek. Soon, they showed up with a trio of ACes. I also forgot to set my camcorder to autofocus, so this video is also out of focus slightly. Since the last time I was here, BNSF had finished the crossing replacement. The new signals are just BNSF's usual Siemens installs. L...

On June 24th, we made our plan to spend most of the day on the Greeley Sub (which would change later). This was our first, unexpected catch; a light SD40N headed south, likely to either North Yard or 36th Street Yard. Unfortunately, for my first two videos, I didn't notice my camcorder was still set to manual focus from the pervious night, so those videos are slightly out of focus. This crossin...
Picadilly Road Railroad Crossing, near Aurora, CO

After getting the local at Byers, we continued to chase it. I tried to get it at Bennett, but failed miserably. We then met back up at Picadilly Road near Aurora for our final catch of the night. Unfortunately, since the last time I was here, the further WCH mechanical bell had died and UP hasn't replaced it yet. Awesome Video 🚂🚂🚂🛤🦃
Is a K3LP Horn Sounds a RS3L
Nice video and thanks for using a tripod. Love Colorado and still have friends in Grand Junction and Colorado Springs and was in the latter city in September. Cheers from New Mexico!
Great video and crossing!
Great video and crossing! Still quite the set-up there.
Stupendous!
Nice video and great crossing! RIP the WCH mechanical bell, shame the other one doesn't sound too hot either.
I saw the video with update on this crossing it’s nice seeing a safetran mechanical bell
Always nice when a new m-bell pops up!
If you’re headed southbound on i-25 you can see the old gate mechanisms from the highway. I’m pretty sure it was replaced two or three days ago.
Nice video! Looks like the far signal also had its light heads replaced at some point.
Great video and nice catch!
Why do BNSF crossings always have a faster flash rate compared to other crossings?
Great video and nice crossing! Neat to see a UP crossing with RECO gate lights outside of Illinois.
Awesome video and crossing! Love the old FS signals!
Great catch! I had a chance the other day to see an aerial map of Castle Rock from 1955. It is amazing how so much changed around the Joint Line in Denver down to Pueblo.
No bell?!
Great video and crossing! Love that older FS install, especially with the FS gate mech and mechanical bell pair!
Great video and crossing! Love those older WCH signals! Sounds like the far signal's bell may be dying?
Nice
Sounds like New Zealand railroad crossing
@anthonynal Most of New Zealand’s crossings also use WCH e-bells, so makes sense.
Ok then
Great catch! Love those fading Electro-Tech’s LEDs and the M-Bell!
The bells on a lot of these crossings aren’t even that old and I’m seeing a lot of them being replaced
Great video and crossing! Love that WRRS bell!
No bell crossings are the worst
Great video and crossing! Love those classic gateless signals, especially with those FS 12x20s (even if they are now LED)!
Nice video and crossing!
What type bell did USA railroad crossing sound like New Zealand railroad crossing
Great video and crossing! Love those older WCH gateless signals.
I’ve always wondered why the one signal has one of its lights turned to the sude
Great video and crossing! Love the classic WRRS bells and FS gate mechs there! I believe the far cantilever, although branded as WRRS, is actually a Walpar one. Interesting that UP chose to try and match that cantilever with the replacement one on your side though.
Great video and crossing! Love those classic gateless signals and especially that WRRS mechanical bell! Also, the fact that it's on the UP Limon Sub specifically is a lot funnier to me than it probably should be, for something relating to one of my other hobbies.
That bell is beautiful
What a beautiful sounding WRRS bell!
I’ve been there. It was crowded when the 4014 was there!
@walttrainman961 I remember that Strasburg was bad, both this year and 2021.
I think this is the spot where I caught 1943 on the oil train Nice video ✅
Do you have plans to catch a train at bradbury rd?
@@Blocks_guy I have. Just haven’t uploaded yet.
@ okay
Great video and crossing! Love those older WCH signals with that GS Type 1 pair!
Nice catch! I love those GS Type 1 E-Bells and fading Electro-Tech’s LEDs!
Sounds like New Zealand railroad crossing
Great video and crossing! Love those old WCH bells!
Great video and nice crossing! Glad to see the old Walpar cantilevers are still there.
Great video! Is one of the rear lights on the far signal missing a background or am I just seeing this? Also, seeing a 2000s UP signal with a replaced gate mech sure is something. Almost makes it look like a shortline signal of some kind!
NJCL train simulator
Is that the g line or the b line?
G Line
Awesome 👌
I had no clue that they were able to quill that horn
